Selfish People (due to current situation) DMG2 - Page 5

I just don't want the DMG2 characters to worsen the shock that armaan will get once he finds out about riddhima i.e. they could do something by which armaan or shashank or god knows who will interpret things wrong and more misunderstandings will be created

They do have understanding, that's why they're doing this for their friend as they find it the right thing to do.

They don't know Armaan and neither have they seen their eternal love story. so in their eyes, they're doing the right thing by saving the 'love' (as they think Sid loves Ridhima) of thier friend.

do you still feel that they don't have any undersatnding between them?

Slightly you are right about the gang wanting to help Sid, but Naina herself talked with Riddhima and she still claims to love Armaan but respect Sid for giving her support through her rough times - but she still love Armaan. At least after hearing Riddhima they should at least help them meet and let them decide what's the best for their future cause Riddhima can force herself to be happy with Sid but can not love him open-mindly the way she loves Armaan.

I am not saying Sid doesn't deserve Riddhima but if we look at whatever Armaan done to get Riddhima it's nothing compared to Sid. That's why Riddhima should be with Armaan cause they both love each other without even knowing what's the meaning of separation is (if you remember their sept. 21 2009 episode) bullet scene defines how pure their love is for one another.
