American Idol on Chinese TV....

China is so much under the spell of Super Girl that it is importing American Idol to its TV viewers.

The fifth season of the hugely popular American reality show has come to China's Sky Satellite TV this year. In this show which the Super Girl got its idea from, thousands of would-be singers audition in front of a panel of three judges. part of the attraction is that many of the singers are not very good – in fact, some are awful! The judges do not have to be polite, and are in fact usually very rude to some of the contestants. The show has created record TV ratings in the US, and winners have also come out as contracted singers, or even Grammy winners, such as Kelly Clarkson.

American Idol 2006 has 12 girls + 12 boys.... all 12 girls sang on tuesday 21st and then all 12 boys sang on wednesday 22nd feb.... It's a two-hour show....
