- When Sudarshan first enters the frame as "Dutta" he raises his gun - did anyone else thought he was getting ready to ask for a restroom break?! 🤣 That was such a "raise-your-hand" pose instead of "strike-terror-in-your-heart" pose! 🤣🤣
- The show was edited differently today - the end of yesterday's show is not the same as the beginning of today's show (neither the chronological order nor Dutta's reactions). So obviously, I "saw" it as a different scene today. It started off with Dutta looking "intrigued" by what was happening i.e. "Supriya" getting beaten up by "Nakku". Then "Dutta" enters the picture and our Bhao looks like he's trying to "understand" what's being displayed in front of him. Then he decided he doesn't want to think about it anymore and in his frustration "stands up" (first of many times 😆). It's only after Baji pacifies him and "forces" him to take a seat, that Bhao sits back down. And then when Sudarshan passes the whole "Goli-Dutta" comment, did anyone else feel that Dutta's expression showed a sense of "pride" in that fact? Maybe it's just me hallucinating, but it felt like he had a "Yeah, you got that right!" thing going about him at that dialogue. Where last time he "looked away" after "Surpiya's" comment about killing her if the dish wasn't good, this time he "looked away" when "Supriya" mentioned the dish itself (come to think of it, maybe Dutta was repulsed by her cooking! 🤣).While last time they'd shown that it was Dutta's profession being "abused" that had repulsed him - this time they were clear about Dutta's repulsion being from SUPRIYA and not his profession. The minute "Supriya" starts talking nicely to fake-Dutta about food and how she got it for him, our Dutta Bhao can't stand looking at it. It was like he knew it was a facade and he just could not put up with it! He'd watched the dance, he'd watched Nakku beating up Supriya and he'd even watched Sudarshan butchering his image. But he could not stand to watch a "Supriya caring for Dutta" track. He knew it was a lie and he didn't like it!
- "DUTTA! DUTTA! SHRIRAM! PATIL!" - Bwaaahahahahahhahahahahahaha 🤣🤣🤣
- I don't know how much I'm going to hate Sudarshan in the future. I don't know how much he's going to make me mad or make me laugh in the future. And today I won't even take into account the times he's made me mad or creeped me out - today all I'll remember is that something he said made Dutta smile that absolutely gorgeous and day-brightening smile! 😍 And given as how rare a sighting that smile makes - Sudarshan! Aaj k liye teri sari ghaltiyan maaf! 😆
- "Dhiskaon!" - Bwaaahahahahahahhahaha!! I thought that was an OBSOLETE sound effect! 🤣🤣
- Nakku was enjoying this spoof just as much as the next person - even though it was in some part a her expense. I just found that really endearing - in a world where people look for excuses to get even, here's our "koyal" who chooses to see the good in everything. I really like that.. 😊
- Sudarshan dancing!! Bwaaahahahahahahhaaha! Sudarshan pretending to be "Dutta" while doing it!! BWAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! 🤣 *wipes tears off*
- During the three shots of Dutta that are shown throughout the Sudarshan-Leela performance, Dutta starts out by looking bored like he's much rather be doing ANYTHING else other than sitting there and putting up with this mediocrity. And then he looks a little irritated until finally he is just annoyed - he doesn't want to be there. He doesn't want to watch people trying to dance (and failing). He has better things he can do with his time (a sentiment I'd agree to if this was really me being forced to sit there). He really looks like he's trying to calm himself down - trying to convince himself to not do something rash again. I really feel for him - I hate being forced into doing something too. Like I really really hate it!
- You know, I thought that Supriya was genuinely enjoying the Leela-Sudarshan act - like for a while he'd honestly forgotten her dilemma and she was just a girl who was watching something hilarious. But then she glanced over at the mavali and all of a sudden it all came crashing back to her.
- When Supriya was having the mavali-flashback about "muskurao", who else besides me was expecting so hear the mavali's ridiculous "Woh mard hi kya.." dialogue?! 🤣
- Kaala's immediately aware of the "khichdi" that's being cooked between the mavali and Supriya - I like that! She really is Dutta's sister - just as he's absolutely aware of Nakku around him, Kaala's aware of all the "interesting" things around her at all times.
- Did anyone else notice how shocked Dutta was at Supriya calling the maid with the drinks over? Like he had NOT expected her to go this far - or fall this low. And for a while after that he was a little "shaken" with this unexpected development - in that confusion he even went ahead and accepted the drink from Supriya. But then he was reminded of what a drastic change this was - the Supriya before who couldn't stand him to the Supriya now who can't stop doting on him. And that refreshed old wounds for him - I think Supriya's sudden change reminds Dutta of Seema's "sudden" change. The difference being, then Dutta was taken aback by Seema's viciousness and now Dutta can see through (I hope) Supriya's "caring" nature and know that she doesn't really mean it. But he's still just as disappointed and upset - it just proves to him that even though 10 years have passed, people still choose to be careless with others' feelings. And that's when Dutta decided that he didn't need ANY of that fake behavior and he put the glass back and stood up as a sign of refusal!
- Did anyone else feel that when Dutta accepts the glass from Supriya, Nakku is happy for Dutta but she's trying to convince herself to "hide" the pain she feels for herself? While Supriya offers Dutta the drink, Nakku's all smiles - she's glad that Dutta's finally getting another shot at love. But when Dutta accepts it, the "girl-in-love" in her suffers a heartbreak yet again - she does not like seeing Dutta with another girl and that's when her gaze lowers and her smile dims a little. She wants to be happy for Dutta, she really does - she just doesn't know how NOT to be sad for herself without putting in effort. *sigh*
- I really like the way Kaala makes Dutta sit back down - it has a very "elder-sibling" feel to it. I know that this is the closest they'll come to having a "normal" sibling relationship (at least from what it seems for now), but I still can't stop myself from admiring this display of (fake) affection. Makes me wonder - if she ACTUALLY cared, how awesome that relationship would be.. 😃
- OMG! I LOVE how elegantly Kaala danced with Leela! It wasn't a full dance-mania deal - just one small step - but it was just so "elder-sibling"-esque awesome! 😃
- And then she goes up on stage and takes a jab at Supriya-mavali too! ALL while "singing" and being the center of attention - and NO ONE noticed! *sigh* I think I've met my ideal.... 😍
- Kishore danced too!! Bwaaaahahahahahaha! 🤣🤣 Omg! Cindy you're right! He turned "Pehli baar mohabbat ki hai" into a 50's song - with the sharmana and the dance steps... In fact I think he even breathed out on Kaala at the "sans tezaabi" part! 🤣
- Kaala dancing with Kishore - and looking like a happy couple?! *sigh* I know this was probably an act for the people looking, but I would like to believe that just for that moment (in all the jovial atmosphere for the evening) Kaala actually honestly enjoyed that dance... *sigh*... 😊
- When Dutta stood up at the end of Kaala-Kishore dance, did anyone else think that Aayi Sahib looked at Dutta with the expression that said "Ye phir khara ho gaya?!"?🤣
- Dutta did a very subtle double-take at Baji when he said "Bhao kya sharma raha hai?" - as if trying to say "Seriously? Main sharma raha hoon?!"? Well, I did! 😆
- When Baji joked about Dutta singing for Supriya in the shower, Dutta looked irritated. Like he'd had enough being the "butt-of-the-joke" for this long! He wanted it to end and fast!
- Dutta only goes back to his seat because of Aayi Sahib. *sigh* He didn't want to be there, he'd finally had enough - yet all it took was one glance/gesture from his mother and he was willing (albeit hesitantly) to go through it all for a little while longer. *sigh* I want one! 😍
- But Dutta wasn't going to pretend and be happy about it! He totally wore that bored/"I'd rather be anywhere else" expression/attitude with pride! 😆
- LOL! When Dutta saw Supriya holding on to her ears as a gesture of apology, did anyone else think his expression said "Oh God, here she goes again..."?! 🤣🤣 Dutta really doesn't want to put up with her nonsense, does he!?😆
- I LOVED Dutta's stern "raised finger" to Roops - he'd tried his anger on Baji, tried to reason with his mother and was even cajoled into resignation by his eldest sister. But Roops - he'd be damned if he let his younger sister mess around with him too, without putting up a fight first! 😆
- OMG! Dutta totally smiled at the "aap k siwa kaheen bhi na phisle hain" line! I wonder if that was "Dutta" smiling or "Mishal" cracking up during shoot... 😆 Because if it was "Dutta" smiling, then it was like Dutta was thinking "Yeah right! Keep telling yourself that!" - which I think is HILARIOUS if it's true! 🤣
- Ganpat-Baji dance that later turned into a snake dance - BWAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA! Ganpat even rolled on the floor!! 🤣
- As soon as the dhol-walas enter the picture Dutta's distressed - and as they kept getting louder his patience kept getting thinner. Until finally he'd had enough and he snapped! The dhol's sound was like a "countdown" to his "explosion" - he JUST couldn't take it anymore, couldn't sit there and be forced to participate anymore! Not even for family.
- When Dutta raises his hand to "define" his decision, who else was reminded of the "hospital scene" where Dutta's addressing a crowd of people? I did.. *sigh* 😍
- After Dutta stands up in a rage, he tries to reel himself in a bit - he fists his hand and takes a final glance towards Supriya and her antics before he steps down towards his Aayi.
- Throughout this Sangeet Ceremony, there's one thing I've noticed about Dutta. He always went to the people he trusts first - he went to Baji and asked him to stop this facade and when Baji didn't he went to his Aayi in hopes that she might see the wisdom in his words and set him free. But when even she blew his concerns off in jokes you could almost sense his frustration - he needed SOMEONE to listen to him and understand what he wants! Which is why when Nakku asked him to smile, it was like the last straw had been pulled - none of the people he trusted were understanding his point-of-view, not even Nakku! And that wasn't acceptable to him. So he put his foot down and told everyone to "keep on" with their mindless fun - but to NOT expect him to be a part of it anymore. They wouldn't understand his concerns then he doesn't want to entertain their concerns either!
- Baabi got so shocked at her daughter taking liberties with Dutta's personal space! Asking him to "smile" when he was so obviously upset!? I could almost sense her thinking "Are you INSANE?!?!". That made me laugh because I totally talked to my monitor at that point - I said "Well you haven't been there when she forced her hand on his drink - ye toh kuch bhi nahi!" 😆
- A full family event where everyone's tried to "pacify" Dutta but to no avail - yet this doesn't deter out Koyal boldly (and without inhibitions) asks Dutta to smile in front of at least 20 people if not more. *sigh* Pehley toh she's lay her claim on him in private - asking him not to drink and walking into his room without permission. Now even the crowd doesn't bother her! *sigh* Such exertion of right! 😍
- When Supriya started singing and Dutta turned around, who else thought he was thinking "Ab ye kaunsi nayi nautanki hai?!" - again, I DID! 🤣
- The entire time Supriya hovered around Dutta, he just kept track of her movements as if to make sure she never came close enough to touch. A total "Ooo.. Cooties!" reaction! 🤣
- Nakku's dream thing: *sigh*.. *sigh*...*sigh*.... 😍
- Dream-Dutta thing: Before Nakku knew of Dutta's past, she's always dreamt of him as a "regular" guy who'd flatter his "love" (or infatuation) and buy her presents. But now, even after knowing his past, to me it seemed that Nakku's dream-Dutta was in "love" with her now and wasn't just infatuated by her beauty. Now he really have those dreamy/smitten eyes when he looked at Nakku - he wasn't singing accolades in her honor. He was just looking at her as if he'd never seen her before and he'd never have seen her enough - his eyes NEVER left her face (spare that one moment when he turned to her in the middle of the dream). And that was the most romantic thing ever! 😍
- Dream-setting thing: So the Yashraj-romantic-hero is gone but with his exit the 60's movie-settings have made an entry?! What else explain the "lying-on-the-bed-and-the-screen-fades-out" cinematography?! 🤣
- When Baabi brought Nakku back to reality and she realized that she'd been dreaming, the stark cruelness of reality was even more vivid to Nakku. She took a moment to realize that it wasn't her there with Dutta, it was Supriya. And then she lowered her gaze and closed her eyes as the heartbreak took over her. But when that didn't help any, she turned around with her back to the source of her heartbreak (and her love). Until finally she just couldn't take it anymore and she walked away from him.
- I LOVED how Baabi comforted her daughter. First with the soft touch as she brought her back to reality and then with the smooth caress of the shoulder and head as she tried to "ease" the pain away... I love this mother-daughter relationship! 😃
- Did anyone else notice how Dutta almost looked sad for a minute there - between Nakku's dream and Supriya's singing again? Like he was thinking "Really? She'd do all this instead of just telling me the truth..?".
- After that brief moment of sadness, Dutta just seemed repulsed/annoyed to me. He kept trying to hold himself in place - he even folded his arms in front of him as if trying to hold himself back. But when none of it worked, he just walked off. He'd had enough.
- Did Aayi Sahib just tell her daughter-in-law to-be (NOT!) that all men are "like that"?! What is that supposed to mean? Dutta hasn't done anything that requires that explanation - that explanation is only reserved for moments when guys (or girls) do something that doesn't make sense to the opposite gender. He was annoyed by the noise and by being forced into doing something he didn't want to do. There was NOTHING "sab mard aisey hi hote hain" about it! 😳
- Sangeet Ceremony thing: The fact that Dutta was showered with petals and the bride-to-be (NOT!) broke out in a song were the only two unrealistic things about this Sangeet. Other than that, everything seem really "real" to me - how the dances were very "unrehearsed" and how everyone was just enjoying themselves. There were no planned steps and no hordes of dancers with professional lighting and music. It was just family members trying to make the Sangeet a memorable and fun event. I really liked that! It was refreshing change from all those choreographed sangeets that look nothing like a real life Sangeet. I mean seriously, how many of us hire dancers for a family member's Sangeet ceremony?! Exactly! I like how this show is realistic - minus a few movie-inspired scenes off course! 😆
- Kaala thing: Throughout the Sangeet ceremony she looked entertained - she laughed at the ridiculous farce being put forth by the Supriya-mavali duo, was amazed at how they thought they'd get successful by using stupid tricks like "drinks" and smiles. She even played the perfect wife/sister role to the T - tried to get Dutta to enjoy the ceremony and even danced with her husband, while acting happy for the couple t0-be (NOT!). But she honestly did now seem like she was enjoying Dutta's misery or future heartbreak. She seemed to be enjoying the ludicrous turn of events - with Supriya-mavali trying to be James-bond-incarnate and Nakku falling in love with a man who's about to get married. She enjoyed the "drama" that this Sangeet brought - but not the heartbreak it entailed for Dutta. She's always been indifferent to Dutta's destruction - she doesn't WISH him ill. She just wants him to be providing for her and her family - as long as he does that, she'll treat him well (or however he wants to be treated). Ever since we found out that the trio's been evil, Kaala's harmed (or planned to harm Dutta) in no way at all. The only thing she does want is for him to not get married and that's for monetary purposes. She doesn't want to hurt him and doesn't care to see him hurt either. She has a very "live-and-let-live" kind of ideal when it comes to Dutta. Or so I feel. 🤔
- What are Supriya's dad and the mavali talking about?! I want to know!😳
- You know, all things considered, I think Baji would make an absolutely awesome "dewar"! He's always there for his "vahini" - always ready to make her happy. I want a 'dewar" like Baji too! Judwa bhai chalaingai... 🤣
- "Bhao k liye apun kuch bhi karey ga!" - Even as he agrees to help Supriya, it's because Baji thinks that THAT would help make Dutta feel better. *sigh* He's such a devoted friend. I hope he kicks that mavali real hard when he finds out what a loser plan this mavali's been entertaining.
- Lol! When Baaji told Nakku to get the plates ready on the roof she looked at him like he was speaking Hebrew! I loved how amazing naive Nakku was at that moment. 😃
- I want to go on a "moonlight dinner" with Dutta! Dutta nahi toh Baji bhi chale ga! 😆
- I love how absolutely devoted Nakku is - even though she suffered a heartbreak just a little while ago, the minute Baji tells her of a way to help Dutta feel happy (or so she thinks) Nakku immediately agrees for it. No hesitation, no questions! *sigh*
- When Baji was talking about how it's hard for him to bring Bhao to the rooftop - who else thought it sounded like he was talking about convincing a girl to come meet him "akele mein"?! 🤣
- Did anyone else notice that Nakku was a little "slow" and a little "dazed" in her actions after the dream sequence? Like the recent burst of heartbreak had taken a bit of her energy from her and it would take a while to recuperate. *sigh*
- "Arey kya Bhao? Tum bhi phone pe chipka rehta hai?!" - I totally yelled "EXACTLY! Nakku was stitching his button earlier today and he was busy calling people!! (pretending to call people!)". 😆
- "Kiyoun ab kya phoolon k mafik taare barsaye ga mere pe?" - LOVED IT! Dutta was not going to let Baji off the hook easily for the inconvenience he'd caused him. You could see that Dutta was looking for an excuse to take a jab at Baji, until off course he got a chance to mouth this gem of a dialogue! 🤣
- The minute Baji says he needs to talk alone, Dutta's instantly worried for him. He wants to know if Baji's okay - if there's a problem? I love how protective he is of Baji! 😃
- When Baji told Dutta that someone was waiting for him, that last shot of Dutta screamed "What now?!" to me. I could be totally wrong and that's why I am going to wait and watch for tomorrow. 😆
Wow, this got a little long, didn't it? I had no idea I'd have this much to say. Lol! Sorry guys! 😳 It's gotten a bit late, so please excuse my mistakes. I don't think I'll stay awake long enough to proof read this. 🥱
