What you people think of yourselves?

We have gone through some of the posts and comments you have made on this forum. We don't want to waste time to comment about your knowledge of music. But the abusive words you people use for Javed Akhtar sir, Shankar Mahadevan, Shreya Ghoshal, Mika are just more than intolerable. We have seen you made reference to Javed sir's arguments with Mr. Aamir Khan. We all musicians (composers, musicians, singers and lyricist) of Indian music industry totally agree with Javed sir's viewpoint in that matter and there is no doubt any capable musician of the world will agree with him (Maybe those incapable musicians who get professional work only because of their good association with some actors, directors and producers, disagree with him). So if you people disagree with him in that matter, we all musicians want to tell you – just stop listening to any music created by us; we don't need you.

You people have questioned the credibility of a song-writers over composers, singers as a judge of music. I'm myself a composer; and on behalf of all the composers would like to tell you that we think that song-writers play equally important roles as composers in the making of a quality song. The words they use in a song play vital part in the final tune and the singing style of that particular song. They may not know the technicalities of music, but their sense of music is no less than any composer. That's why we composers keep song-writers like Javed sir, Gulzar sir, Prasoon Joshi above ourselves. Even the biggest composer makes sure that he keeps happy these three song-writers.
Javed sir dares to say the truth publicly what other musicians don't, to avoid controversy.

If you people think that you understand music better than those who have been working in the music industry, then join us and help us to produce better music. But when you talk about us, give proper respect. Otherwise don't listen to our music. Your opinions are too trivial for us.

If you believe that you have a unique voice and your singing is not unpleasant to others, record 3 songs of 3 different singers in your voice, come to Mumbai and send those recordings to all the leading music directors of the Hindi music industry; you will surely get at least 1 chance to do playback. And if you don't have a unique voice, don't go to music directors directly. Instead, try to form good relationship with some actors, directors or producers; they may help you.

While I would agree with your post, some of the comments on judges and captains in this forum have indeed been intolerable.

While we as viewers admire them as singers, composers and lyricists, the main problem with many musical reality shows is that sometimes emotions take precedence over others and the way some of them fight openly in front of audience shows their level of immaturity and clearly deviates from one quality content-singing and music. Same happned in MKMM. Otherwise tell me, why did Shaan had to indulge in fights? Or why does mika use abusive language in front of janta and viewers? or why do some contestents fight for marks or leave the stage just for "marks"?

partiality? isn't it?

While your request is justified, we as forum members also make you a humble request to all showmakers:

give us good clean and quality music based reality shows where talent is judged without any biasness, be it regional or any other, fights are avoided and we only get to enjoy good and clean singing and music.

each show should also carry a code of conduct where any contestant or judge can be disqualified if rules are not followed.

Indian music is known world over for its clean singing and classical purity. Lets hope that these traits are preserved for years to come and to preserve these, first step is to make musical reality shows clean and abuse free.

And above all, show producers please DO NOT script fights just for the sake of TRPs.

Good quality show will automatically attract audience due to its simplicity and talent, and fights will equally repel those audience, resulting in drop of TRPs.

And I do admit mistakes, but let us make this forum clean, friendly without any bashing to any captain, judges or contestants. everyone is entitled to his/her point of view and someone here or there is a fan of somebody, but lets control our motions and respect others decisions also.

And finally, composers songwriters and producers in bollywood must at least give chances to new talent in the Indian film industry, which is the biggest in the world. Every year we have so many shows and judge 30 odd singers (on an average from 3 shows in 3 different channels) by SMS etc, so whats the point for having an overdose of musical reality shows when these deserving participants do not get a break in bollywood, even when they deserve? Yes, some have got it, but for how long can they sustain?

And some have faded away, even sank without a trace, including some winners in these shows. Can we have any answer for these people?

Agar andar do paise ka jigar hain to jaa kar yeh sab baatein Vidhu Vinod Chopra aur unn sab producers ko bolo jo royalty issue mein music composers aur lyricists ke against hain.

This should have been written a month back before most people were literally made to leave the forum due to members attacking them personally.

Even when I posted a few comments and opened a few threads, I was asked if I was Raghuraj.

People tend to assume things with out any rhyme or reason.

Finally, had to tell them to ask the mods to check out if we were the same persons.

Decided to leave the forum after that .

Just came back to thank you and appreciate your thoughts. 😳

He is probably JA himself, coming in as a newbie, under disguise. Even I am a writer-cum-composer and so am entitled to write on JA's judgemental attrocites towards Shaan😉
