Rajan hunts for new faces - An article

While his two dailies Bidaai and Yeh Rishta have done well and are the quite popular still, producer-director Rajan Shahi is all set to launch his third show on Star Plus. Though there is no paucity of actors, Rajan is looking for new faces to play lead roles in his new show. Says he, "For every show I take fresh faces and groom them into characters of my stories and I want to do the same with this one too." Auditions for lead roles will take place in Delhi, Chandigarh, Bhopal and Jammu. Incidentally, the female protagonists of Bidaai ' Sara Khan and Parul Chauhan were discovered in Bhopal and Lucknow respectively, while the male leads Kinshuk Mahajan and Angad Hasija were found in Delhi and Chandigarh. Also, Hina Khan who plays Akshara in Yeh Rishta was discovered in a Delhi college.
