well, when I think abt the journey of SaJan .. there are so many things that I need to consider .. and now that I hav discoreved they are SOULMATES .. this journey becomes all the more meaningful to me .. this is the way I visualise their journey so ur POV may be loads diff on that .. š³ but I jus wanted to share mine!
when we speak of the term SOULMATES .. we speak abt two souls that can love each other unconditionally and ireevocably and with utter selflessness...and then, it does not matter whether they do it under the name of the term 'friendship' or under the name of 'lovers' ... the fact is that they are and wil always be together because they love each other unconditionally and without imposing ANY conditions whatsoever on the other soul ...!
when sam and gunjan first met as strangers ... there was a certain curiosity abt them both, whether they realised it then or not ... because of gunjan's inherent shyness and reserved nature, that curiosity never came out on the surface and because of sam's out going nature, it came out more often than necessary .. inspite being poles apart in exterior, they NEVER had any direct clashes wit each other, because both were by nature, peace loving and calm souls and believd that if there are different ppl in the world, then ther jus are .. and because u are not like them, doesnt mean that they HAVE to be like u! thus, their interiors were EXACTLY the same .. and there was even then a common wavelength that tied them both together!
but how to get rid of gunjan's inherent shyness and bring these souls together because, they jus HAD to be together, didnt they? and FATE then made the first attempt - "the bet between sam and dia" ... this got them together, discovereing, seeking for each other .. under the name of 'friendship' so that they both could realise that they indeed belong with each other ...
SHE became his guiding light, a companion he had always seeked for but never really found amongst his hoard of friends, someone with whom he could jus BE HIMSELF, his substitution for family and his belief that he is worth of loving and being loved .. HE, became her confidence in herself, her path towards fulfillment of her dreams, the fun and laughter in her life, someone who taugh her to brace and face and win over the storms she had been running away from all her life, he became her strength and her belief in her own strength .. and she in turn became his inspiration in life ...
but then, only the two souls who can love each other selflessly could belong together..and where was there selflessness in sam's friendship? yes, what he did for gunjan was selfless, but he BEGAN it with a selfish motive, whereas gunjan did it all selflessly, even when she came to know abt the bet, she did not give up on sam..and she may hav hid it under the pretense that "I did it all because u helped me", the fact was that her soul had already learnt to give a lot to him selflessly and she jus went on the same way ... sam, always the carefree and 'live in the moment' kind of a person, never was able to seek enough courage to tell her the truth and hence sam HAD to learn it the hard way..and when gunjan came to know of the bet, she was shattered, but more shattered was he..because his soul hadnt touched selflessness then ..her friendship was what he NEEDED in life..and unless he changed the NEED to WANT, he could never b worthy of being wit her ...
and thus began his journey towards selflessness, under the name of "secret friend" .. and he kept on giving her, even though she was never directly a part of his life .. he kept on caring for her, loving her unconditionally .. her smile became the reason for his smile and her happiness was his happiness..he began to show her the direction that she had been showing him all this while, without once hoping for the fact that she might befriend him back ... eventually, her broken and shattered soul HAD to heal, how can it not, when the other soul was soo caring and loving towards it?
these souls re-united ... this time as thought never to drift apart in lives .. some of their dreams, ambitions.. goals, were drastically different from each other .. but as long as THEY were together, they could never let such things drift them apart..the road was bumpy and full of difficulties, but they seemed nothing once they faced them TOGETHER ..
but then again, one soul drifted away from the path..it began hoping for something the other soul hadnt hoped for all this while..it began EXPECTING ... it wanted something more than jus friendship..it wanted LOVE.. and for HIM, that phenomenon didnt exist .. when she BEGAN to love him, it was wit a small selfishness ... "does he love me?" small tho it was..it did hamper the journey of their souls .. because the other half was totally clueless of it and in his own world .. she was shattered .. it seemed as tho her whole world had come crashing down upon her .. and there was no beginning and end to this storm of grief surrounding her ... she wanted to throw him out of her life in the first instant that she thought, but their souls were connected, could they really go apart from each other? his soul kept coming back to her, even tho under the name of 'friendship'..it kept that string, that bond intact wit her..it kept loving her as much as she did, even tho it was under the name of 'friendship' .. their souls wer stil soo soo close to each other, even when there were physically and emotionally many many miles between them both ...
and then, when a new girl entered his life, it wasTHEN that she learnt to love him selflessly .. it was THEN that she learnt to give him selflessly and not expecting him to ever come back to her .. even tho inwardly, her soul was aching and calling him..she NEVER let it overpower her own being or forced anything upon him .. she let HIM decide whatever he wanted to and kept on giving him in the name of 'friendship' .. because that was the only relation he knew and believed in ..
when HE realised or reached the same place where SHE was in their journey, ofcourse their souls HAD to finally cum together .. because his soul really couldnt resist it when the other soul was calling him soo lovingly and with so much of a passion .. yes, their souls came together and elated .. and they were happy and content in each other's presence .. any disagreements, small or big, they faced and fought TOGETHER .. because now they were journeying together and in the same direction..wit similar dreams and ambitions in life ..
as sam once said "hum alag nahin hain chashmish .. agar him alag hote, toh aaj main kahin aur hota aur tum kahin aur..lekin, aaj hum mumbai mein hain, ek saath, kyunki hume ek saath hona hain chashmish.."
but then again, one soul drifted from the path YET again..because SHE thought that the culmination of a happily-ever-after is a 'marriage' and HE didnt believ in that phenomenon..for his own reasons .. for HIM, that word was a poison..for HER, that word was an assurance of her entire future life .. is she wrong? is he wrong? but they both were expecting things from each other that they had never before thought of .. while her soul was expecting him to believ in it..his soul was expecting her to NOT believ in it .. for a moment, their dreams..their hopes, their ambitions .. their love, was overpowered by their beliefs ..
and then FATE took the worst turn ever..was there really a need for such a BRUTAL and HARSH way to make them love each other selflessly? by snatching one soul permanently away from the other? but HE couldnt let that happen .. his soul called out to her..asking her to come back .. because NOTHING meant more to him than that..and for that, even if he had to sacrifice his beliefs, he would do that .. how could her soul not come back then? it did .. but it also realised how much it had cost her and the other soul..if HE did not believ in marriage, then she didnt want him to sacrifice his beliefs for that .. and since she didnt know any other end to a happily-ever-after love..she concluded, they cannot stay together under the name of 'love' .. but can they really be apart? hence their souls still were together under the name of 'friendship'..
now, comes the question that I have been asking myself .. their souls are still together...even tho under the name of 'friendship' .. so is there really a need to officially "fall in love" yet again? they both kno they love each other...then why the need to hear it from the other person? there are now unhappy, but given that chance and time..wil they become happy? now, the answer to my question came when I saw gunjan go into paralysis .. yes, sam had begun to love her selflessly, by sacrificing his own beliefs .. and also by accepting her as she is, because physically she may b incomplete, but her soul is jus as beautiful as before .. but what abt her? she has accepted the paralysis for her .. but she hasnt yet accepted it for them by overlooking the fact that he loves her as much as she does ..
so this is now a journey of both the souls ..yet again, towards selflessness.. because until they learn that yet again, they wil not b worthy of being together!
HE, because, he wil now has to learn to love her without expecting to get her 'love' .. and now that he has discovered a faint chance towards her recovery, he wil make it THEIR aim of life .. SHE, because, she has to accept his love for her and has to reinculcate her belief and strength in her..because unless she starts loving herself again, she wil not see his love for her ..
he is thinking abt THEM .. whereas she is thinking abt HIM .. and that wil work in getting these two souls back together .. but eventually, he has to think abt HER and what she wants, and she has to think abt THEM and what they want ..
both are loving each other in their own ways .. but unless, they both love each other in the way that the other does .. they both cant be together .. and this is what their journey is all abt..
P.S. excuse me for the long post .. this is what happens when u get a break from studies and are surrounded by the SaJan mania šš³ and I kno this journey wil prob change as soon as I watch the epi today, because I wil discover something new abt them .. š but this is what I felt for them, uptil now! š³
