Nice pleasant song.. has a mesmerizing quality..
The high-pitched notes are perfect as usual, there is no doubt about that.
The ardent prayer of a lover is fully expressed in the voice, the pleasantness is retained throughout the song. The last part of the song is fabulous.
However, i must say that this is the genre of Rahat Sir and he is perfect in it. sometimes the lower-notes in this song do not work out too well for me. There is no flaw as such in the singing but i just am focusing on the expression of the singing.
i am being strict in this round and giving out a 9 to this song for the reason that i want something, from now on, that would force me to give a 10.
Lovely composition by Pritamda! And of course I will not even dare to comment on Ustad RFAK's sur.
I agree with Somone999, there was something missing - it didn't make me want to give the singing a ten immediately.
For me, the problem was not enough emphasis on expression and words. The lyrics were not highlighted as well in this song as they were in 'Naina Thag Lenge'. Some deeply meaningful words like 'khuda' and 'jannat' were sung so casually as if they were just filler lyrics.
Overall, there was a slight lack of romance in the singing. It is indeed very difficult to sing a romantic song with conviction - you have to sound genuine and 'just right' in the Goldilocks sense hehe. You can't sound over the top, nor can you sound perfunctory. In this song I felt RFAK could have been slightly more romantic and mushy.
But that's just nitpicking. The singing still deserves 9/10!
From Uditji, I'll play 'Ho Gaya Hai Tujhko' an immortal duet with Lataji from 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge'. Music by Jatin-Lalit, lyrics by Anand Bakshi. The part where he sings 'Aye waqt ruk jaa, tham jaa, theher jaa..." just gives me goosebumps! It was that feeling of goosebumps which I missed in RFAK's song.

Another of his great songs is Jag soona soona lageA Full 10/10 performance. None can do this song so beautifully as they would sound tuneless. Loved it.
