It cannot be better than this topic for International Women's day......great job rinky!!!!!!!!👏

Shilpa nunty is the most realistic character of tv today....i think she is the perfect representatives of modern days women. She is a single mother.who shares a wonderful relation with her son.......she is not only a mother to him ,she is a father, friend ,philosopher & guide also. The way they take care of each other in the show, the bond between them, is unique & according to me ,the most beautiful mother-son relation of tv ever!!!!!!!!!

Not only as mother, she is also a wonderful human being...she is funloving, jolly, caring, hard working ,dedicated& dignified women........ like all women she loves to wach tv serials & films, she is single.but that doesn't mean she never enjoy her life..she has created a wonderful world of her own with her son & herself, & enjoy the most of it. She spent most of her life struggling alone, but unlike other mothers of tv,she doesn't spent tears by remembering her past.she is strong.& she managed her life in her way & she is happy abt it.& thats the best part about her, which is really inspiring!!!!!!!

Vaishnavi has done a great job portraying the character of a todays single mother & working women....hats off to her!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the mother -son chemistry shared between her & arjun is outstanding!!!!!!!!!!!!!
all in all great topic rinky, thanks.....👍🏼& i m happy Finally i can post my thoughts here....HAppy Womens day to all.......😃

Ok I need to mention it here.. the mother son chemistry between vaishnavi ji and Arjun is totally awesome... I remember my own mother seeing the serial with me once. She asked me if Vaishnavi ji is Arjun's real mother? That is the level of comfort these two share and the way their interactions have been projected that touched my heart. So realistic yet so sweet.

I have seen Vaishnavi ji potraying the mother character in many serials especially Sara Akaash.even in that serial she was a single mother but here she seems to have reached a new height of excellence. Proud to be a Vaishnavi ji and Shilpa Sharma fan.

Hey Rinky,

Thankyou so much for making such posts and always making me feel that i have made the right choice by coming and spending some time here.
I agree man. Shilpa sharma is one woman on television who is not only realistic but someone who is a class apart from many women in general, she is someone who is a feminist as rightly pointed put above but the way she lives her life with respect, hardwork and passion is really inspiring.
No matter how many difficulties came, which she must have faced, but she has always remained strong and came out as a winner with her postiive attitude and mast approach to life.
What i loveee the most about her that she is human and what is in her heart is on her mouth.
She is human as i said as she is no superwoman who would have eternal strength she would feel weak, would break down, cry hard as if she has lost all hope, all the battle(s) in life and she would fall still stand up, attempt to stand up and she does!
I love shilpa aunty and her chem with arjun rocks, i love theor scenes and even the trio's arti and shilpa aunty's scenes, like the diwali and holi ones.
Rinky, Divz, annie well said.

Great topic! Shilpa Sharma is really a gem of a character, so far removed from the stereotypical Hindi 'filmy' moms of Bollywood and Tellywood - she's such a refreshing change. She's smart, intelligent, independent, and has a wonderful sense of humour - very rare in TV parents, most of whom are of the Bauji Bui variety! Being a bit of a feminist, one of the things I admire most about her is the way she has brought up Mayank to help in the house in terms of sharing cooking, household chores etc., something which most Indian moms even today think are 'not for boys' to do. Also, she is truly friend, philosopher and guide to Mayank - she knows when to be friend, and when to be parent, and that is really a fine line to walk. Most importantly, she has kept the lines of communication open with her son, so that he's not afraid to talk to her about anything and never feels the need to hide anything from her, which I feel is the most important part of any relationship, especially that of a parent and teenager. She really is an ideal mother - a wonderful blend of traditional and modern - she seems to have given her son all the right values, and is comfortable and confident enough with her upbringing to trust her son, and give him the space to make his own decisions, make his mistakes and correct them himself, if he has to, with the confidence that she is standing behind to help him if he ever requires it.

Great topic! and Happy Women's Day to all!

👏 👏 👏
i so agree i love the part that she has taught mayank to do household chores, all mothers should do that man, such boys become not only the best husbands but they respect and understand women much better this way, as they connect better to them and thus end up being more respectful as a whole.
I agree that openness and comfort is soooooooo important.
Diya really well said,⭐️

Thanks Rinky for a lovely topic and befitting one that too on 8th march
MJHT came out with eveteasing as a social burng topic.
but single strong mother , managing her son & doing her job dutifully is also a social topic.
She is one who has conveyed the message to all single mothers , on how to bring up their kids ..
Wish SBS or SBB talk to her on this charater she potrayed so nicely and set an example to thousands of mothers like her ....
There are many testing and trying moments , while bringing up a child single handedly , she has handled it so aptly , and son is so very comfortable sharing everything with mom .
Wish MJHT , shows more of her ...........

Shilpa Sharma......a character who will forever be an inspiration............she symbolizes the todays Indian woman so well:) A great mother,a counseller,a friend to her only child.....a working woman, handling so many things at a time, yet being there for her son when the need be.....a fun loving person who though takes life seriously but never broods....lives in the moment ,what worth there is of little sweet moments.........she loves life as it comes and is prepared for challenges....even when the times were hard....she stood strong and brave and fought with the circumstances........I applaud her for her spirit!

She has always believed in instilling good manners, beliefs and morals in her child.......we praise the character of mayank day and night but not the character of the mother .....Mayank respects women very much...we all know it and have seen it...the credit should however be given to his mother ......

She has been a father and mother to her son.....,and kudos to her that even after being a single lady.....she has managed to bring up her son so well!!!!!!

Such a great character needs to be applauded....,,and ofcourse the actor too for it could have never been so great without VaishnaviJi:)......

So to a great symbolism of a modern Indian woman....I bow my head!!!thank you cv's for such a beautiful character......but where is she now?

A Very Happy Womans Day to all! (belated)

Sorry,couldn't post before!!
