i dont think that he told shanky that he wanted to get a divorce because in the precap Shanky does not look serious at all when Sid calls him. I think that Sid went to talk to Shanky but Shanky asked him before he could say anything that why aren't he and riddhima going on honeymoon (since shanky had sent those tickets for today). and Sid probably did not want to break shanky's heart and agreed to go.
