When ICC doesn't take any action against offensive Aus/Eng cricketers, the reason always given by them that the other side didn't complain so no action taken. In this case, nobody complained but action was taken and that too a very harsh one. Did anyone saw Eng vs Aus hockey match? Did no one hit in that match? 😕

So a sure shot win for Aus against India? 🤢

I have been following the matches here and Shivendra's wasnt an intentional hit. He tackled and was ahead of the Paki player when his stick hit the guy.
How on earth can this call for 3 match ban , now reduced to 2 matches. Looks like Ken Read read too much in this non-foul to ensure that our center forward does not play against Australia.

Is it an insecurity of sorts! Does to go to show that other teams are scared of Indians!! If yes, I am glad coz it shows that we are back to our best hockey.
Hope we do well this evening and beat Ozies.

talkin of Hockey, yday's match btwn India-Oz, India's loss wasnt unexpected. We wr out-paced from the first wistle and Indian players (specially the golie) were overwelmed by the shere strength and speed of Ozies. The backies and Adrien didnt have a clue how to block and tackle the Ozie forwards.
This doesnt mean that we played bad. We did score a couple of goals and also came to terms after abt 15-20 mins from start but Ozies played at a diff level.

If one notices, they scored 2 goals in first 10mins of each start which goes on to show that their main strength is freshness and mere pace. When it comes to hockey skills, they cannot match India. We missed more than a couple of good chances from crosses in front of their goals when the ball went past the goal post without our forwards being there. Pace - is what counts!!

It is this department, where we need to strengthen our players. Better facilities, better living, better diet and above all, respect for self-esteem is what the players need.

Lets hope they win against Spain and with a big margin in the next match.
