Hi my SaJan ki Deewanis!!!
I was very busy for the past couple of days, so cudn't come on the forum, and today, when i logged in, i was surprised to see soooo many topics regarding Gunjan being sildelined, being weak, not strong etc. Before saying anything about these, let me just say that i completely respect each of urs POV, and am glad that there are soooo many Gunjan fans out here. U all rock !!!đ
However, i'm extremely sorry that i do not agree wid u in this regard. In my opinion, Gunjan was and is THE most strong character in MJHT. I don't intend to bash, criticize, or underestimate any other character, and i said earlier also, this is purely MY OPINION. So, my apologies if I hurt anyone's feelings but believe me, i do not have any intentions to do so. *Holds ears*
Coming to my topic, I feel that strength is NOT ONLY a physical trait. It is a capability, a competence of one's mind, and Gunjan has time and again proved that she IS strong, IS brave, IS confident. Yes, she's shy, introvert, is innocent, but that DOES NOT mean that she is weak or anything. Being the youngest member of the family, she's always been treated like a baby, with everyone protecting her (especially Nupur), but despite this, she has grown with utmost maturity, sensibility and wisdom. No matter how grave a situation is, its these things coupled with her presence and strength of mind that has enabled her to come out of it. We have sooo many examples in front of us in which we've seen this girl tackle issues in a way in which even a person wid strong nerves cannot deal. I'll just quote a few here:
1. To begin wid, when Gunjan came to know abt Sam's bet regarding her singing, she was so shattered. Still she honored her commitment of teaching Sam. She cud've easily backed out but she DIDN"T. Why??? Because she knew that it was only her who cud help Sam pass in his exam. Wasn't it her self-confidence, the firmness in her personality as well as her strength that helped her to do so???
2. In Sheena's time wasn't it her inner strength, her bravery that enabled her to take that decision. The decision to sacrifice her own feelings for the happiness of her love. Believe me only a STRONG person can do it
3. She was strong enough to argue wid Mayank for Nupur, and was also totally firm when she told her bauji that Mayank is the right person for Nupur. At these times, there wasn't any hint of hesitation on her face.
4. Coming to more recent examples, when Princi termed Nupur as a careless person, Gunjan came out of her shell and made him see the reality and told him what this so called careless Nupur had done for the college. Her mere look at that time was no less than that of a tigress.
5. Since her accident, Gunjan has proved that she is rock solid from inside. Physically, she has become even weaker, to an extent that is paralyzed, yet her conviction, her determination to deal wid this is exemplary. And this she conveyed wid all the zeal, when in the hos[ital she told Nupur that "Di promise me that u'll love me but will not have pity on me".. That was Gunjan Bhushan for me, for us. Despite going through so much, she cannot bear herself being called a "bechari" and y wud anyone call her so??? Just because of this disability. She wudn;t let this happen because she has the determination to live a normal life like she used to live prior to this incident. And then, her smile when she entered the house on the wheel chair also depicted how brave she is that these challenges cannot de-motivate her.
6. She has always been the pillar of strength for Sam. Even now, she's calling off her relationship because of his distrust in marriage and also because of her paralysis and she doesn't want to ruin his life. I loved her when she said that she doesn't want to change Samrat. No other girl can ever say this. She knows that mayb she's got a lifelong disability, and does not want Sam to suffer because of it, and that's is again sacrificing her own happiness, her own life.. If it isn't her strength then what is it guys???
7. The most recent example is her yesterday's dialogue, "di mein kisi aur ka nahin, apna khyal to rekh sakti hun".. She knows, she's experienced that she cannot make a cup of tea for herself, still she's strong enough to assure her sister that u take care of urself and do not worry abt me. This is her strength !!!
8. AND, she's proved it TODAY also.. I guess it goes widout saying that Gunjan was awesome today (like always).. She was so tensed for her sister but it was her presence of mind even then that gave Nupur the idea to go to JD's office. Thus, I wud also giver her (along with Nupur) a bigggg credit for bringing this fight to an end. She's one strong girl, and the best part is that she is so so selfless that one can't help falling in love wid her. The way she said that she won't let others suffer because of her, wid the flashbacks of last year's holi, wid tears shining in her was so so beautiful and touching.
As for being sidelined, I feel that even if she has only one scene in an episode, her brilliance makes it worth watching. That's the beauty of Sanaya's performance.. Hats off to her !!!
Thus, for me Gunjan has always been a strong, a brave person, because i don't think that u become strong or brave only by fighting wit the goons etc. She's faced every problem head-on and has never backed out, never changed path, never complained and that is why i say that she is a role model for ppl who hide and run away when they see problems coming their way. She's strong and brave whenever situation demands her to be.. So, out of every track, and out of this track also, Gunjan was, is, and always b a true winner for me, for us . đđđ
It has again turned out to b a looong post, but i guess its all justifiable bcoz the person is discussion is none other than Gunjan Bhushan. Wud love to have ur comments.
