Bee, another post that should be on a new thread of it's own and not buried under one of mine. It's awesome and helped provide the education and knowledge regarding this "marriage." I for one had a lot of questions and your answer has given me plently of insight.

Yeah- Putting Blood on a Woman's Maang is AN ANCIENT form of how Kings used to make Women ' theirs '......But If a Proper Hindu Wedding is Concerned......in Abhi-Simmi's wedding there were No Mantras,No fire.... in Hindi Wedding Mantras are Chanted keeping the Agni As Saakshi....Only Putting Sindoor is Not enough in a Hindu Wedding...They even haven't got married Legally.... Why Didn't they Go to a Temple and they could've at least got married properly.... I think It's Necessary As somev rituals are necessary as We,Indians get Wed only Once ...It's Such An important event in Our lives..... and it's better the person gets married Properly.... better Not to keep it Half-Done..
