The Durian Society Interiors Awards held at the Grand Hyatt on Saturday night was a star-studded affair.

But we saw celebs flying in and flying out.

Tisca Chopra left early because her pilot husband was waiting for her at home.

Divya Dutta arrived just in time to present the last award as she was stuck in a family crisis.

Rajesh 'Roshesh' Kumar of 'Sarabhai' fame was seen deep in conversation with Varun Badola and Rajeshwari.

Manish Goyal skipped the party to attend a friend's birthday bash while wife Poonam was at her mother's place.

Rohit Roy-Manasi Joshi and Gurpreet Singh-Kanishka Sodhi were like the perfect lovebirds, never leaving sight of each another.

Bhagyashree and Himalaya

Bhagyashree and Himalaya left a gold game pending, to be at the awards.

Poonam Dhillon, as usual, had three more parties to attend.

A down-with-flu Arjun Rampal, who was the first to arrive, kept waiting patiently for Sanjay Leela Bhansali as he was supposed to present an award to him.

The evening also had performances by Varun-Rajeshwari, Udita Goswami, Malaika Arora, Bhumika Chawla and Celina Jaitley.

With so much glamour in abundance, one actually had to be reminded that this, in fact, was an awards ceremony for interiors professionals and students.

Something that's usually supposed to be a really boring event.

Anuj Saxena and Amrita Singh in Aasman Se Aagey

Amrita Singh celebrated her birthday on February 9 on the sets of Kavyanjali in which she plays the character of Nitya.

As the sets of Kumkum and Kavyanjali are located at the same venue at Saki Naka, among those who came to wish her was Anuj Saxena (Jatin of Kumkum). Years ago Amrita was Anuj's first co-star in Viveck Vaswani's serial titled Aasman Se Aagey on DD.

It was Anuj's first brush with acting while it was Amrita's television debut. It turned out to be a nostalgic moment for the two as they were catching up on each other after ages.

Amrita's daughter Sarah was also present on the sets. And for those wondering how both Anuj and Amrita looked at that time, look at the snap alongside we found in our archives — this is one picture surely both would not even want to look at today.

Ishaa's hide and seek

Though in Mumbai, Ishaa Koppikar is hardly able to meet her mother Nandini. And that's because of her odd timings. "She's doing Ram Gopal Varma's Shabri. The shooting is on till March 10," says Nandini.

"Much of it is night shooting in and around Mumbai." The result? When mom's at home, the daughter's shooting outside and vice versa. A virtual hide and seek.

The film's been in the making for the last three months. Ishaa plays a girl working in a mill. Later, circumstances compel her to turn into an underworld don. Varma plans to release it in April-May. "That's when I will get to spend some good time with my daughter," says Nandini.

Award for Seema

Seema Biswas has been nominated as best actress for the Jimmy awards in Canada. This was conveyed to her by the producer David and Deepa Mehta. This just upgrades Seema's awards tally.

She is the only actress with the distinction of having either a nomination or an award for every role she has done. Currently shooting for Rajshri's new film, Seema sounds upbeat as you congratulate her, even though she is currently recovering from an accident during the shoot of a South film.

She's been shooting hectic schedules and is scheduled to go back to finish the Tamil film soon.

Shravan's company

Shashank and Shravan Rathod

Shravan Rathod of the Nadeem-Shravan fame has opened his own company Vibs Creation and Music Pvt Ltd.

The main aim of this company would be to create a bank of songs for films, music labels and promote new talent.

They have started with the recording of their first song with music directors Sanjeev-Darshan and a new singer Shashank, who is 19 years old, comes from Shirohi in Rajasthan, and has learnt his talent from Shri Satya Narayan Mishra.

Famous directors Abbas-Mastan and Lawrence D' Souza had come to bless Shravan Rathod and Shashank Baba.
