for this track, everything remains same...except that Sdahna was not Ragini;s sister or cousin...and Sdahna had characters like Mallika ...lets imagine some one with the same qualities as this present Ragini is Alekh's wife....An educated middle-class girl, married somehow to Alekh and testified against Ranveer...

suppose she comes back home "not speaking lies" in the court, because she believes in God and could not speak lies touching GITA ..what would have been the consequences...Could Vasu throw her out, could Ragini say those hard stuff to her., could they directly or indirectly be responsible to throw her out...and all these what happened...

NO bashing... what would have happened...

pls emphasise on the word "in this track" just to rule out replies that "then there would be no Bidaai"

Bani, i am not too clear on what u r asking.

IF someone with the characteristics and personality of Mal was Allu's wife and had told the truth in court and Ranvir went to jail, then NO no way could Vasu and Ragini treat that person the way they treated Sadhna.

The thing is if Sadi was not in any way related to Ragini then the expectations of Ragini would not be the same as well.

Here Ragini expected Sadi to tell a lie in court so she could be happy and get her husband back, if maybe Sadi was not related then this expectation would not have been there.

Maybe Vasu would have still put some pressure, but would not have been able to brain wash Ragini against Sadi as much.

If sadhana had the personality of Malika and was not related to Ragini then she will definitely LIE

Cause a person like Malika would do what ever it takes for them to attain success. And everything is a business deal for them

malika would never sabotage her status in her own house. She will think twice before doing anything that would demean her status as a daughter in law and put her in the "dislike" category of Vasu.

She will lie, make everyone happy and have a successful business transaction

: ) So jab saamp mara hi nahi tho lathi kahan se aa gayi?

vasu will have only praises for her and Ragini would be double happy with her.

^^Well..rightly said.....A person like mallika will think of the status, name and fame first...so to keep up the reputation of her family ...she would have definitely told lie.......

and Vasu ....... before this court track had immanence faith on her daughter- in-law....so Vasu would have been happy thinking that their daughter in law helped them out of bad times...

See, Ragini's expectations were more form Sadhna because she is related to her. If she wasn't, I doubt Ragini would have expected her to lie, and I highly doubt, she would be this angry either. Even RS said that: In case of Ragini, where there is so much of love, there comes lot of anger and she is the one who feels the hurt more.

Mallika would have lied on court, simple.

well actually the question is that everything remains the same only the wife of Alekh is as strong as Malika. So we dont have to think that Malika would easily lie b/c she is status concious or woud not put her repu in the family at stake etc. The scenario mentioned above is that Alekh's wife did speak the truth in the court but is as strong as Malika.

So in my view, if she was that strong then Vasu wud never have been able to throw her out or Bash at her. Because a girl like Malika woud have shown her, her real face and Alekh's past reality too that your son was an abnormal person and still I took care of him and now you are teaching me how to live my life. Who are you to teach me, i didnt do anything wrong, i just spoke the truth and you have no right to bash me on this or throw me out of this house. And she cud have said the same to Ragini too, that you speak a lot of sanskar and belong to a middle class family where these values are kept so high then how can you force me to lie upon GITA? Are you a double standard women who is ready to lie upon GITA if it's in her own benefit and in other situations you expect others to follow the right path etc.....

So in my view if Sadhna decides to become strong and think that "to hell with these mean people" then she has a lot of strong arguments to defend herself and make Vasu & Ragini shut their mouth and show them their real place......

As mentioned in the earlier post, she would not have been treated the way Sadi was, she may have been given the cold treatment by Vasu / Ragini but then she would have done the same, she would not have really cared abt Vasu and / or Ragini.

you read me right! I was saying that if Mallika didn;t speak lies...your answer is apt...thanks everyone for all your views...
What I feel is if in place of Sadhna, any other person was Alekh's wife, first of all neither Rgaini nor Vasu would have been instrumental in throwing out or thinking of treating her with those harsh dialogues to meet Ranveer in jail. That wife would have first gone to "domestic violence cell" and complained against all the Rajvanshs and put them behind bars (if anyone is aware the legal procedures)...

The family would have been broken for good....with no chance of reconciliation...

Anyway, I don't think Vasu nor ragini would have acted differently. The difference might be that their feelings and decisions would not be important, because perhaps Malika wouldn't care as much as sadhna cares about not hurting her loved ones. As everyone has already correcltly stated, Ragini would not have that kind of expectation from Malika, so she probably wouldn't have much to say to her. Also, she wouldn't have felt as betrayed as she did with sadhna (her sister!) being in that role.
