Why are Remo and Geeta doing Terrence's style? - Page 2

chandni, medha, SAS and Di have said pretty much what I would say... Contemporary is mainly Terence's style and he runs a school for it too. But I dont have a problem with either Geeta or Remo doing Contemoprary, but Terence has a magical touch to his choreography that makes it wow, and that's usually missing when others do it, especially when Geeta does it, apart from what her assistant Mini has done for her this season. The same applies to Latin dances (salsa, Paso Doble, flamenco, and all) as Terence has a lot more knowledge in these dance forms and he puts in a lot of effort to achieve perfection and so his acts always stand out and are memorable.

Geeta should mix her forte - Classical and Bollywood, with Freestyle, Break, Hip-hop, etc and she can do wonders - she proved that with Siddhesh last season. And this season she has Dharmesh, Amrita, Binny, Kishore who all have a lot of talent and skills and she can put them to good use. Binny is good in LnP, Dharmesh inHip-hop and Amrita has so much talent in different forms..

Remo tries to incorporate his style with other styles, and he is very good at it. I like it when he creates fusion like that. Unlike Contemporary and Classical, Hip-hop doest have wide variations, and so he would need to use other forms. He does them very well - we saw that last season. I dont know if he has assistants, I hope he does, and so he can get help from them for other styles including Classical and combine them with Hip-hop to create unique acts. And he has talented dancers like Punit and Tashu this time.

Having said that, I would prefer certain climax or themes not to be copied from other Masters... Like how Punit's act had the gunshot at the end - it was similar to Alisha's Bombay Bhai act ending.. Even with the aerial acts or props, use something that has not been used by others, and that would make it different and people wouldnt keep remembering the similar act from another team while watching it. That way Contemporary is even better as it has so a wide range of variations. I love Contemporary dance, and I prefer it done by Terence more than anyone else.

when TL choreographs a contemporary it has a 'wow factor'

their r always some technical problems and repetitive moves when choreographed by the other masters. shashank is a contemporary dancer but their are always many flaws and technical probs.
if he would have been with TL he could have gone far and must have collected many salutes and performance of the day.

I totally agree with you. If Shashank has been in TKT I feel that he would have been better utilized and would not have been voted off so quickly. I feel very bad for him as he is such a good dancer and gave such a beautiful performance before bidding farewell. 😭
