Do lot of people believe that the show was rigged last year? Do lot of people believe that the show is rigged this year? If yes, then why are people still watching the show if the winner has been decided already? The only way it sounds like that people will belive that the show is authentic is if the dancer that they like wins the show. Isn't this a public show, and whoever the public thinks is the best will win. Isn't that the case with all public things? The bollywood actors, are those the best actors in our country? no but they are popular with the people and that's why they are successful. Dance is a public thing. Those dancers that connect with the public the best will do well. I don't know why the producers would favor any of the 12. What does it matter to them who wins or loses? If shakti wins how does that hurt the show? if puneet wins how does it hurt the show? if Dharmesh wins how does it hurt the show? and so on. So why would the producers need to fix the votes? How is one contestant winning going to help the show? so i don't understand this whole vote fixing business. Zee's purpose and DID's purpose is to find the most popular dancer. It's an entertainment show on TV, not some dance school where pure dance form is looked at. If pure dance form was the criteria than honestly all 12 wouldn't be anywhere near being the top dancer in India. To truly find the "best dancer" in India we would have to search all the dance schools in all the cities and towns across India.

That is what I have been telling people. Who is Dharmesh and what will Zee get by making him the winner until and unless he is loved by mass public. Zee is only interested in one thing- profit , profit and profit. and they will focus on the dancer who is the most popular, which is Dharmesh Sir at this point.

See..people love Dharmesh..i love him, in fact- all my friends and colleagues love him. And we know that all of us are voting for him. So, it is tough to believe that the show is rigged when Dharmesh gets the most votes coz I myself voted 10 times for him + 10 more friends, which makes 100 votes from our side only..:-)

yeah and i am sure fans of each contestants did the same thing. So i really don't see where unfairness comes in? Masters are fair to each contestant. Each contestant has their own unique story to tell. Shakti with her accident when she was young, Jack with his tale of being from a different country. Dharmesh with not being able to speak english correctly. Every contestant is given opportunity to showcase their dance and connect with the audience. Winning and losing well that's in public's hands at this point now.

the DID crew apart from showing you a reality show is spending whack load of money on producing it and to bring it to you... guess what they need to make that money back + some more for profits...

money comes back in two ways...

1: sponsors/ads... goes with the TRP's hence the masalafying you see on the show to garner more viewers and their attention

2: sms votes which cost money... now what happens is a) you never get to know exactly how many votes a particular contestant got... maybe 0, 1, 1 lac, 10 lac, 50 lac... who knows... the show ppl control these figures and never reveal them, or never will in future. however they play with their viewer's emotions and minds the way they carry on their show... here the actual performances mean little... just for eg. look at how much ppl are ticked at the fact that tashu, amar and binny were in bottom 4 despite giving good performances... because of this the fans of these contestants will give more sms votes (hence more money for DID crew) + the fans of the other contestants will be alert and think "uh oh" and vote many times more as well. and this goes on for a couple of eliminations with shockers in bottom 3-4, and than comes in this sudden BANG where you see a fav top contestant bow out of the competition and you get top drama from judges/hosts/audience etc and the PLZ VOTE, WHAT ARE YOU DOING JANTA...etc etc etc... and ppl vote away madly... lolz...

its just a ploy... the shows are fixed or flexibaly fixed where they go with the flow and where they see an opportunity they pounce on it... they might have say dharmesh in mind to win, but if all of a sudden they are getting Jack getting say 4-5 lacks more votes than dharmesh guess what they will have Jack is the potential winner or atleast into the top 3 to keep milking the votes even if their initial plan was to have Jack voted out being top 5.

Ask yourself this:

if the show is not fixed, why dont the judges/grandmaster continue to vote out the contestants... (this question can somewhat be tackled by saying to involve the janta)

well than if they want to involve janta than why cry foul when janta knocks out a contestant, say a dharmesh/shakti over a shashank/bhaavna, heck if the janta didnt like them they didnt vote for them, regardless of their performances, maybe they didnt connect/appeal/seem good to the majority of janta... than why go on in the shows questioning and sometimes lamenting the janta and calling them stupid etc... (prime example would be anu malik back in the Indian Idol days he went hardcore at janta, if u think janta is stupid why allow them the votes than?)

to me these shows are fixed... hence to answer the question than why do you watch it... for the dance/performances alone... it doesnt interest me who wins or loses... i just like to see the performances mostly coz they are done on bolly music and since i prefer bolly music when at gym... watching these songs being performed at often make more appealing afterwards than they were to me before hearing to them in DID...

thats my opinion....to each his own, feel free to agree or disagree... (i used some contestant names in random for sake of justifying my thgts/points, wasnt to offend their fans)

Great response, just one question left unanswered though, what would the producers of the show have to gain by supporting one particular contestant over another? For example how does it help or hurt the producer if Punit wins as opposed to someone else? Many people in the forum are suggesting that the results are rigged because producers have already picked a winner and they are not using the actual public votes? hence my question is why would the producers favor one over the other? how does it help their business?

What does it matter to the producers who gets the highest votes every week? what do they gain out of it? I can see your point about creating drama and controversy on the show to generate more viewership but I don't see your point about the producers actually rigging votes? I don't see how rigging votes benefits them? If a contestant is popular then how is kicking that contestant off the show help the producers? it would hurt them because people would stop watching or at least stop voting. So I think the results are true results. I don't think producers make a contestant win a show. The contestant wins the show based on his/her abilities, and also likability by the audience at large.

@ankitnyc, I dont think I said that the popular contestant gets kicked off the show, im suggesting the exact opposite, I terms of sheer nos , its in the best interest of the producers to keep the MOST FAVORITE/POPULAR contestant on the show...becoz only then will the audience watch the show & the more ppl watch the show, higher the TRP's & subsequently more sponsorship for ZEE TV = more MOOOONNNEEEYYYY....
I dont think they will risk eliminating popular contestants...having said that..they might put them in bottom 3-4 just to garner more votes & more money...
i hope that makes it clear...

yes. so when someone says that "oh that top vote getter only got top votes because the results are fixed" they are not being accurate, right?
