I checked this thread out of curiosity and I cannot believe the suggestions here for Shakti - Lyrical hip-hop, Bollywood, and Hip-hop! Now let me explain why I find it hard...
Shakti has done Hip-hop already in her first solo, and that time the judges also said she did something different. But I have seen some people here saying they didnt feel she did something different!!
Then her Urban Style duet with Amar was misunderstood by everyone as Contemporary even though they had Hip-hop steps in it - Urban Style is the fusion of Contemporary and Hip-hop, started by trained Contemporary dancers to incorporate Hip-hop in their style.
Then Lyrical Hip-hop -- it has some similarity to Contemporary, and the aggression and arrogance in real Hip-hop would not be there. Everyone will soon jump in to say she did Contemporary again!
Bollywood is one form that never goes well on DID stage! The standard is set so high that every time there's a Bollywood number is done, no one will be happy about it! All the stage shows have them all the time, and it has no charm on DID stage! And in Shakti's case, if she does Bollywood, everyone will say she did Contemporary!!
I think she should do Indian folk or semi-classical for her solo, and should do either salsa or flamenco or jazz or waltz for her duet...
Unless people gain enough knowledge to know the difference between different dance forms and variations of many styles, whatever Shakti does will be considered as Contemporary by anyone who wants to point finger at her. She does them all gracefully and flawlessly, that the ease with which she does make people think that she is so comfortable because it's her style, else she would have shown some difficulty! I really think she can do any form easily, and will not be showing any difficulty in any of them...
