1)the first and most common reason is that he has been playing the character of armaan since start and we know that replacement of actors suffers any show lot and dmg is not in such a position to suffer any kind of replacement.
2) The character of armaan is developed by ksg himself , he molded and folded the character in his own way as later on writers also shaped the character keeping in mind ksg so he has great contribution making a character of armaan with the writers of dmg.
3) Armaan the character is such as which can be negative in his ways sometimes and positive in his own ways so this diversification requires a actor with lots of variety in his expressions and acting skills which every one knows that we dont have too much master actors in tellywood n ksg is a brilliant actor and a actor with unlimited expressions on a single face . I can also prove it :
in the very beginning of dmg, armaan was a bit negative, careless attitude n huge flirt which ksg done with great conviction n attitude but later on when he fell in love with ridhimma he changed himself in to a cute , more sensible n responsible romantic lover.
4) As we know that cvs are so much experimental, after every two months they have to show some big twist in the story to gave a heart attack to its fans. So for this actor has to be easily adjustable to many new and different kinds of looks to enforce that twist. Every actor dont have courage to do experiments with his looks so much as ksg has. But history proves that ksg has always welcomed new looks after every twist. Not only he accepted all those different looks but he himself was the main source of contributor in these innovative ideas.
5) Be it revealing his tattoos only after when sequence of armaan's depression was showed with very small beard.
6) Be it converting in to " girl" along with atul n rahul in lonavla. Ksg did it too even after knowing the fact that he has such a muscular body and pure manly features but he did it bcz it was required by the character of armaan.
7) Be it becoming " suri" with mustaches and long hair.
8) Who can forget the " gajni look" after armaan's memory loss. It was very bold step taken by him and i can bet on that if any other actor would have been in his place , he did not do it.
9) No one can deny the fact that " KSG is chemistry making factory" bcz he managed to create the magic with all of three ridhimmas.
10) KSG is very helping, encouraging and friendly towards new comers and these characteristics are must required by armaan as DMG has seen so many new entrants and he made them all feel comfortable and create a magic with each individual. Be it rahul n muskaan, they came later on the show and then abhi n nikki came , all started loving "abhimaan" and "arman nikks" as best buddies. Sukirti came as new ridhimma, she was new comer in acting field and above that character of ridhimma was not that much easy one but as sukirti told herself that she had a huge support of ksg and we can see it in later episodes as she showed a great improvement later on.
11) Even in case of jenny, as they were old friends so they just set the screes on fire in a few episodes. If there would be any other actor rather than ksg than it would not have been possible so easily.
12) KSG used to create chemistry and produced a quality scenes with every new member of DMG and made them loved by all such as be it billi, guppo, bubbli,shehnaz bi, nana, so on n on n on.
13) The character armaan needs a lot of time and effort n hard work by actor and ksg had given all of them to show.
14) kSG himself said that he is very similar to character of armaan so he dont need to put effort in his acting so his effortless acting just forces every one to say" wow".
15) ksg is as lively person as armaan so he does not bored his co-stars and he does not disappoint armaan's fans with his behavior in his interviews. it does not look like ksg is given interview any time it looks like its our armaan in front of us any time.
16) even cvs know that no one can better play the character of armaan except ksg thats the reason they had not even think about to replace ksg in their most toughest times even. they has replaced ridhima twice, padma once and the whole dmd 1 with dmg 2 but they did not dare to replace ksg. this is the imapact of ksg on arman.
17) dmg is a hard core love story which mostly revolves around arman n ridhima and for this arman n ridhima have to do romantic scenes most of the times😳. ksg made feel comfortable all the three ridhimas in romantic scenes and which is proved in each scene of AR which means that girls feel comfortable with him so they can set screen on fire in friendly environment without creating any awkwardness.
18) as dmg used to do so many new entries in the show frequently so actor should not be insecure as ksg is not insecure actor so did not affect by any new entry in the show rather he just concentrate on his work.
For now these are some reasons why KSG should be only and only armaan but i have so many of them that i have to start a new thread...hehehehe
