@Shilpa.Agarwal: I never actually thought of that! You're right. Gunjan has also made Nupur what she is today. That fiesty Nupur exists because she thinks Gunjan is her responsibility completely. She always tries to hide her pain in front of Gunjan because she can't see her upset.

@Preeti: I agree! Since the show began, Nupur has gone all out to protect her sister and we knew its because she is her older sister and due to the fact they lost their mother really young. But when you actually hear how much Nupur has done for Gunjan, it makes you understand why her behaviour has been so extreme at times.

@Jess: I was surprised when people were mad at Nupur because I felt I would have done the same thing in her place but after yesterdays episode I realised that maybe GuNur's relationship goes beyond the typical sibling relationship and we actually got an explanation as to why this is the case.

@truth_wins: LOL Ok but don't you think shes taken care of Gunjan like a mother would?

I think she is very protective(sometimes over protective) and caring about g but just as a sister, just this one quality does not make her gunjan's mother figure.I can say this as mothers give their children some oppurtunities to overcome their fears(atleast that's what my mother does) but N never did this, she just over protected her, never allowed her to face the world alone and according to me this was one of the main reasons of gunjan being underconfident which was solved by sam who gave her the chance to get into the limelight and help herself, yes sam helped g but didn't over protect her like nupur and about N stopping her from crying well that's what I do too when my younger brother cries and many elder siblings do that too, don't they?
My opinion😊

^Thats fair enough. I respect that 😊

But I wasn't saying that its just the over-protective nature of Nupur which makes her a mother-like figure to Gunjan. That trait is more common in elder siblings than parents anyway but the fact that Nupur took the responsibility of nurturing her demands a certain respect. She has been the biggest influence in Gunjan's life. Yes the over-protectiveness did make Gunjan less confident but I don't believe that makes Nupur any less of a mother because she unconsciously went a step further to take care of her younger. She never wanted Gunjan to miss her mother so she put that extra effort in to make sure she doesn't get harmed in anyway.
Plus I have seen MANY parents who out of their over caring nature make their children more dependant on them. That is a quality of a mother IMO 😊 It might not be the correct way to bring up your child but it does happen.

exactly and what made me more happy of y'day's epi was it was a clear picture of her Care and over-protectiveness towards Gunjan. 2 Weeks back we had some good discussions stating that why is Nupur being so protective/over-protective towards Gunjan. We had mixed reviews and y'day's epi might have cleared a lot of confusions.
Anyone at her place would have behaved the way she did. Being the elder one no matter how old you younger siblings get you always seem to be extra protective towards them. They or others might feel that we are interfering thier lives but thats actually being protective so we could keep them safe from the not so good world.

I liked the way the CV's potrayed Nupur Gunjans relationship and it was shown in a right way y'day with keeping Bauji into Focus.
