A Walk through the Past with Dil Mil Gaye

Dil Mil gaye has been one of those serials which was one of the first youth based shows that had managed to capture the imagination of the present day youth in a big way and to give an expression to the kind of love and romance that the present generation identifies with and longs for. This serial has seen various levels of changes, has gone through a lot of highs and lows, including mainly, the loss of the backup of a strong script and the lack of consistency in the characters. But, whatever may the present status qua may be, DMG will always be remembered for its initial golden period.
And in that special phase, it gave us a treasure of memorable, unforgettable moments, in which some of the punch lines or dialogues uttered by the characters have become their trade mark and have become the quotations of those characters. While some of them instill in us the feelings of romance, making us feel butterflies in our stomach, others make us laugh, while others leave us feeling moved and touched.
Let us now look at some of those memorable dialogues which gave us some of those unforgettable moments.
Romance and Love Quotations

Armaan to Ridhima (on the terrace on New Year) - "Tumhi kehti thi na, hamare beech kuch naheen hain. Toh phir, jab bhi tum meri aankon mein dekti ho toh, kho kyon jaati ho. Jo insaan iss duniya mein tumhe sabse zyaada pyar karta hai, woh tumhare saamne khada hai. Apni Aankein kholo. Aur kum se kum unhe toh kehne do ke tum mujh se kitna pyar karti ho." (Open your eyes Ridhima. Closing your eyes, won't hide the truth. The person who loves you the most in the world, is standing before you. Open your eyes. At least let them convey how much you love me.)
Ridhima to Armaan( during heer ranjha play rehearsal) - "Jis Baabul ko poori Zindagi apna maana, Woh Aaj paraaya lag raha hai. Aur tu jo paraya tha, aaj apna hai" ( The father whom, throughout my life, I have considered my own, now feels like a stranger to me. And you, whom I have never known before, feel like you are my own..)
Armaan to Ridhima ( When she asks why he is cool with her)- "Agar mein yeh kahon ki tumhare is Khubsurat chehre ne mujhe paagal kardiya. Ki Tumhari in Khubsurat aankon ne mujhe deewaana banadiya. (Do you know, whenever you lower your eyes shyly, you look very beautiful. but then when you look up again, you look even more beautiful.)
Armaan to a patient (who got a bad scar in an accidant)- " Pyar dil se kiya jaata hai. Aur aakhir mein ek rishta do logon ke pyar aur vishwas se banta hai. Aur agar usne tumhara chehera dekh kar pyar kiya tha toh.. well, woh pyar tha hi nahin." (You love with your heart. And in the end, a relationship is made with the love and trust between two people. Armaan to Ridhima (when he presents her with payal)- "Payal isliye taaki tum sanjeevini mein jaha kahin bhi ho, is payal ki awaaz se mujhe pata chal jaaye, ki meri jaan hain kaha".
