Is it 8 contestants or 6 chosen for public voting?

I thought Sowmya mentioned that the masters have to pick 2 contestants each. So, that would make it 6 not 8 who will be chosen for public voting. this conflicts the rumors of the 8 who are chosen from the wild card round.
If anyone knows for sure, pls enlighten me.

i too m not very sure but I think it will b 2 chosen by the mentors from their respective teams and from the remaining, GM will get to choose 2 more. :)

Lachu and Manee, it's eight contestants for voting... Last season it was seven, with two picks each for the three masters plus one by GM... This season they have two picks each for the three masters and two by GM from his stand-by team, hence eight in total... 😊

when are the solos performed by WC contestants, any idea?

The Final 8 solo would be done on Saturday - tomorrow! And then the voting line will be open for two days - Saturday and Sunday. Then they will have the results on Monday when they record the shoot, and the Top Twelve will be announced for DID-2!! This show will be aired on Friday, and so they will have the first set of performances of the top 12 on Friday and Saturday, and again two days for the janta to vote for... The first elimination from top 12 will happen the week after... It will go on like that until top four or three, whichever number they want to have for the finale....

That means we'll get to see who the top 12 are on feb 19th. From what i understand, the show's recordings gonna be ahead of the actual airings only by a week, right? not even a week, i guess 4 days from Monday till Friday. Correct me if i'm wrong.

^^ Yes, the Top 12 will be announced on Feb 19th Friday show, after declaring the winners of the WC round... They usually record the shoot for Friday's episode on Mondays and Saturday's episode on Tuesdays... I think they take the extra 3-4 days to air so that they will have the time to do all the editing and removing all the extra voices from the audio... I am sure the audience wont be having the same kind of clear music when they are watching it live... They would be adding the music for the act while they edit the shoot, so that only the music will be heard...

so, that begs the question - do you think we'll come to know which 4 got chosen from the WC by next Monday? i know that IF gets its insider scoop from someone here.
