Linguistically, this entire serial is a blopper. Watching it, I sometimes think I'm watching a serial based in Multan, rather than Udaipur, given the heavy Urdu vocabulary that gets used. I did a reference on the language that is spoken in Mewar, and this is what I got. Granted, that can't be the language of the serial, but at least, it can be in a Hindi close enough? Yet, listening to everybody in the show, and particularly sometimes, when MN refers to Gayatri as his 'begum' (hello, they are Hindus) or people referring to the divorce as 'talaq' (hello, again, they are Hindus, not Muslims, and talaq isn't merely an Urdu word, but a very specific Muslim term not applicable to Hindus), it seems that even the remotest effort hasn't been made to linguistically place the serial accurately.
Pani-puri instead of Gol-gappa is pretty mild by comparison.
the word 'papa' isn't hindi either but it's used. it makes no difference really.
