Hi guys,

Just finished watching Rann. Brilliant movie. Highly recommended.

Anyways, I am not here for movie reviews. I was awestruck by the message that the movie portrayed. Can we really trust our media? If the media is corrupt, then how can you define 'news'? Can the media industry be really manipulated so easily and toyed around with? I was appalled by the movie and wondered as to how easily media can be bought? How can we know about our government's decisions because of this kind of media? Of course it was a bit overdone, but still it was true.

So, what do you people think? Kindly share your views. 😊

I haven't seen the movie yet. I can't wait to see it though. (only if I didn't have to study for so many tests 😭 )

As for the media, no they can not be trusted. There are always 2 sides of each story and it's rare to see the media show both sides.

But then why read the newspaper and watch the news? Why believe our eyes and ears in despair?

It really sickened me to see how the media was being manipulated like puppets. At this rate, India will be the most corrupt nation in no time.

The media not only reports news but they present their views as well, which distort the news to a large extent. They thrive on creating panic among the public and increasing TRPs, so they make a mountain out of a mole.
News Channels are not really trustworthy because of this reason.
Newspapers are slightly better as they give facts. But in today's age, newspapers are not for reporting 'news' as the news are already known to people through TV and internet. Newspapers are now mainly meant for 'analysis' of news. Even here, they present their own views which are slightly biased.

When one goes for an interview, one takes the best shot in impressing the interviewers to out-do the competition, selling oneself. Not all that's mentioned in CVs, is true. Not all that one speak is totally true.

Media too is in competition and they are selling themselves!!!

Its the same story in all countries. Fox News is pro-republicans, its open in US n they leave no turn unstoned to pick on Democrats adding spice to it all.
In India, TV channels are not allowed to take side of any political party but we do see the under currents....and above all TRP ensures their 'Roti n Ghee'😛

Media is a very powerful tool and we should recognize it. Knowing the journalists and reporters would be useful in most circumstances. News and reports are often tainted when they deal with senstive issues. But there should be some degree of responsibility and eithics when reporting; often this is not followed and they love to spread rumours and fallacies.

Media is not trustworthy in all stances.. yeah fine sometimes, they happen to deliver our requirement , but it so happens that its just temporary, and the in the end put in their own views..sometimes without ethics!

Media is not to be trusted at all these days. They know how to blow things of proportion and are just there to amass huge amount of money. The kind of news they cover these days shows that they are defo sloping downwards. This way they are promoting nothing but tabliod sensationalism.
