February 8, 2010 Written Update

It's Jyoti's first day of work and Dadi/KK are trying to convince Jyoti to start a couple days later. She manages to make them understand, and she also brings Sushma along with her. They both meet Bhagya and he tells them that today is audition day and it's Jyoti's responsibility to select new dancers. At the end of the day, Sushma tells Jyoti that she was so stupid to believe what Brij said abt Jyoti earlier on. They hug.

Later that day, Deepu realizes he forgot to pay the electricity bill when the lights go off. They all spend the time singing and dancing and have fun. The next morning, Deepu asks if he can take Jyoti's scooty today. A giggling Jyoti agrees and once he leaves she explains to the rest how he probably has plans with Poonam today. Deepu calls her later on and says sorry, also inviting her out to drink coffee.

Pankaj's car breaks down in front of the dance school and walks closer to it hearing the sound of Jyoti's anklets. CM calls him then and tells him to come home early today to meet Neelam n her family. Pankaj asks if its necessary he be there and also expresses his concern that all this is happening too early. CM tells him yes and to be there soon. End.

Precap: The introduction of Neelam - Pankaj's fiancee' from Kota

CM is fitting on to Neelam the family bracelet that's given to the bahus, and she smiles. Neelam's mom asks what about Pankaj's divorce, and CM tells her that it's signed by both parties. Pankaj is visibly upset hearing all this.

Dude Pankaj, it was you who wanted that divorce, and rushed it. Now you've got it, and have allowed that loving CM of yours to pimp you. Somehow, that famed 6th sense of yours could never figure out that her biggest problem w/ Jyoti was that she could replace her, which Neelam cannot. While Uday figured it out about Sudha and aborted her plans👏👏, you couldn't.

Learn it! Live it! Love it! And smile when Pratik puts you on the family video 😈

I liked parts of today's show. Not the part where the family was celebrating the power outage, but the rest of it. Don't care too much about Jyoti teaching dancing, but my fav today was Deepu apologizing to Poonam. Hey, if he knows how to drive the scooty, why didn't he use it in Jyoti's absence the last one year?

I hope to see more of Sannam, and less of Paneelam. But I suspect I'll be disappointed.

There was
a blind girl who hated herself because she was blind. She
hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always

how the human brain often works when our status changes.
Only a very few remember what life was like before, and who
was always by their side in the most painful situations.

Today
before you say an unkind word - Think of someone who can't

I think Some body has to read this to mr Pankaj Vashisht so may be he remember the times that he spent with Jyoti is the best in his life But I doubt he has lost his sixth sense.It seems he lost his mind completely CM thinks instead of him for his future.

Lovely poem. I hope you don't mind my printing it and keeping it with me.

I so agree that Pank has gone crazy, but to be honest, I would have done the same coz I can't trust someone who has lived a lie with me for one yr. Not that she / he has a boyfriend or girlfriend, but that they did not think it fit to tell me at the start itself.

so, jyo has to pay for her lying. but what i dislike is that brij won the round here. he promised to destroy her life and he did. Sad, nah?

I do not like both the girls being pregnant though. I wish they did not bring in this aspect. Remember the cute baby is going to be a 20 yr old someday and question your decision. Why not abort the child esp Sushma...child pregnancy, baby's dad is a bad egg, and there is no chance of him getting back into her life? Think ahead and don't add shackles to your life.

Fully agree w/ this! Brij's 'victory' was more the law of unintended consequences, since @ the end of the day, if he is rotting in jail, I'd hardly consider it a victory if I were him. Even if he had never gone to jail, his friendship w/ Pankaj & the Vashisths was over.

Pankaj's reactions weren't in and of themselves abnormal - he had every right and reason to be upset @ Jyoti witholding the story of Sushma, if not Brij, from him and she and her entire family pretending not to know him. On that basis, had he divorced her, it would have been fine. However, to show him angry @ Jyoti having a boyfriend, or even fiance b4 she ever met him, or questioning the parentage of the baby was over the limit.

Yeah, I hate this aspect of the story as well. I mean, from the POV of the show, why promote single parenthood? A child needs both a mother and a father - how dare Jyoti pretend that by being the best she can be, her kid won't need its dad? I understand that these shows try to promote messages, like opposing spousal abuse, etc, but why are they promoting such a socially destructive message?

Yeah, both Jyoti & Sushma got pregnant as a result of marital intercourse, but now that both their marriages are dead, they should reconsider. Jyoti talks all the time about leaving the past behind and moving ahead... How does she move ahead w/ Pankaj's baby inside her? Moving ahead means that she does her job, helps the family, and if in future, finds the right guy for herself, go ahead and marry him. Same for Sushma. In Sushma's case, to be fair to her, she wanted an abortion, but Jyoti aborted it. Now, she has no choice but carry the baby to term, but she can still adapt it out once it's born. In Jyoti's case, she should either abort, or have a miscarriage.

That way, it's easier for them to leave the past behind and move on. But there's no way they can move on w/ 2 babies, making it impossible for even very liberal guys to want to marry them.
