I saw RDB last week. Watching the complete movie cleared one thing - the movie didnt mean to just entertain people (something like DCH). Instead it had a message (" Wake up Indians - its time!!") and they conveyed that quite neatly.

Also I thought - why they didnt hint the msg in the promos of the movie. But then I was ashamed of myself becoz had I seen a white ambassador with a red light in the promos I would have never gone to the theatre. :) I must say that was a smart move by producer & director.

Media class Shahrukh "King Khan", "The Badshah of Bollywood" but I personally feel Aamir is far better actor and star than Shahrukh any day in any given role.

Watching RDB made me cry... I loved the movie and the performances (Kunal Kapoor...!!!)

I wish India awakens and also does something about brain drain.

I watched it past weekend. To tell the truth, i really dint wanna go watch the movie at all but just did it as a favor to a friend and i guess i owe him big time. I love the movie, the story and underlying mesg was told sooo fabulously and honestly speaking most of us are really like the characters in the movie. We dont really care much about anything until something happens to someone we love or know. I agree.. srk, stop taking up stupid chocalate boy or nonsensical bhoot type roles (paheli) and do somethin worthwhile for ur country.

what a miserable country you think ours is if it needs a film to preach its youth what needs to be done.
Basic aim of movie making is entertaining and make money doing it.
Actors are supposed to be acting their roles and are not there to use the medium to preach or propogate their ideas good or bad. Amir or Shahrukh or Salman are there as long as they can make money for their producers and every one of them had a bad mela, Josh or Kyon Ki. There it is and IMHO I do not want likes of them to be mouthing someone elses dialogues and preaching, I would want anyday a real leader like JP to wake me and my brethern up.
And the movie RDB did make money in the multiplexes and overseas market but was a dismal failure in heartland of India where I am sure this particular forum or the armchair pundits like us have no following. By the way I was bored during the never ending climax and wanted to walk out.

true movies are there to entertain....and this one had ample of that factor don't u think. what makes it better is when there is a meaning or a message to the movie. RDB is definately on my list of favs and everyone did a commendable job. especially sidarth and kunal. i hold a high regard for amir as an actor but in some instances i felt that his age deceived him. the music is also awesome, very apt.

Yeah guys..

RDB is indeed a very good movie..This is one movie younger generation need to learn. But pity i do hear comments like " what is so great about it". My cousin saw this movie and he was like " the first part is good but the second part is so so". Well That is the main part. I told him " if the same movie was made in US of A, you guys will be like"wow... they killed a defense minister" what a movie maan". " I think we all need to know the country can work with the present generation becoz they have lot of ideas talent is hidden among us.. what do you say guys.....
I think we all need to contribute in one way or other for Our Country's growth. India is 3rd largest Economy this yr. Imagine a little more effort where we can end up..
Comon let us join hands and try to make a our country a better place...
