I have mentioned this subject in another post, but I thought this deserves a separate discussion.
SRK - whether we like him or not is one of the most popular actors in India. He endorses a 'fairness' product.
Do you all think this is right? As a public figure, don't you think he has to refrain from encouraging such discrimination based on skin colour?
Are only fair skinned people considered 'acceptable'?

Visrom ji, I told you before, this is gaining publicity, or specifically a testimonial, where a celebrity advertises a product to influnce the people to buy that product. As to should he do it, I don't see why not. He is not breaking any rules or regulations as such. I don't think that amu discrimination is taking place. Having fairer skin is good, makes you look charming, beautiful and clean etc. But the true aspect of a good person is in his personality. Let me give an example: Aditya Srivastava, he is slightly dark-skinned but you and me still respect him. Why? Because of his charm, his charisma, his passion and all in all, his personality. If you look from discrimination POV, it is wrong yes.

Okay there is no discrimination against skin colour here...No harm in trying to improve yourself and getting a lighter/cleaner and softer skin, its part of the beauty. Im not saying dark skinned people are not conisdered beautiful but a tone thats in the middle ( Tan types) are the best looking.
Just like a fat person is advised to lose weight to look healthier, a darker person with unclear skin might like to apply such products to give them a nicer tone of colour. Whats wrong with that?
Fat, Dark, Short all these terms are negatives but if one is fat, dark and short it doesnt mean they are unattractive but if they can improve their attractiveness then why not?
I find many people on this forum that are always saying fair skinned doesnt neccessarily mean beautiful - true that...in the same manner that dark skin doesnt equates to being sexy either. One should neither be too dark nor too light to attain that perfect balance in skin colour.

A fat person gets advice to lose weight for health reasons. 😊
Telling a dark person get fair to be more beautiful is wrong. If it's a matter of spots then fair people also have scars and spots. There are scar removing creams for that.

The name itself is wrong. If they want people to have better skin they should promote creams that brighten your complexion in a healthy way.

I am not a SRK fan, I do respect him as a great businessman though.

Yes, but in TV commercials, they sometimes show that people are flabbergasted by the girl's beauty and appoint her as whatever post she was interviewing for, while the other girls look on. That's not right is it?

😆 😆 🤣 I run a " I hate SRK" group on FB. Every other week I get called dirty names and serious hate mails. It has always been guys who send me those mails. The recent ones FB name is even Ahmed Shahrukh.

If SRK was even selling poison these people would happily buy it.

I don't hate him debo. I don't hate anyone. It takes too much energy. I just don't like him as an actor. I picked up the group at a very beginning stage and 3 years later now that it's big I can't let it go.

Either way everyone should be free to express their opinion. If someone wants to say SRK is overrated and not a good actor they shouldn't be called bad names for it.

OMG why haven't I seen this group on FB yet?! I would definitely be the most active member of the group.
I'm glad someone had the guts to make it.👏I can't get over what a self-centred and arrogant man he is.
