TKT nominations questioned?

The Saturday episode had such a strange element to it. Week after week, Geeta and Remo send their best dancers to the kasauti, we dont even question it anymore because we know that is what Remo does (and justifies saying that even though they got the grand salute, we know what they didnt do etc). For Geeta, its always justified say sending Dharmesh (even yesterday) because we all know she would lose her less weak dancers. But for the first time Terrence sent Kunwar-Shakti, and he said that he wanted to send Shakti - let people connect to her solos etc, but the channel (hosts) questioned him, asked the GM etc. How come no one questioned Dharmesh being sent? Or every episode where Remo sends his best dancers? Its very annoying why the channel or whoever has problems with Terrence, instead of rewarding his talent, sense of fairness, the channel is always being unfair to him. Thankfully, he doesnt rise to the bait, just keeps up his good performances. The other mentors have played these games from DID I, and TKT gets questioned?

Now I can see, that Geeta can even manage to lose the best dancer like Dharmesh, I agree just putting on an incredibly challenging costume does not equal and incredible dance. Dharmesh should be getting the same accolades that Shakti gets - salutes, best performance/muscle awards. I wish if he comes back he goes to his Remo or as someone said - his naya bhagwan - Terrence.

I agree with an earlier post that Remo's claws are not yet coming out, but they will eventually. But I have to say that so-far GM has been quite fair, not taking a strong dislike to Terrence, to the point of being mean etc. In fact almost every week Terrence's team gets best performance/salutes. Even Shakti-Kunwars Amitabh act got best performance, not Geeta's circus act, even though it was more dangerous, TKT's act was more beautiful.

Well sadly that's how DID is, and this forum even. Remo and Geeta can do whatever they want, but if Terence does the same thing, he gets bashed to no extent.

I thought it was very unfair to interrogate Terence like that. I would completely understand if he was sending his best so they come back. But the lift mistake in Kunwar-Kruti's dance was very clear. It was the only minus point of the performance and it wasn't even their fault, it was because the sari got stuck. Parvex defintely did really well and slightly better than Kunwar. I love the both of them and Kunwar did something completely different and did brilliantly too but it was pretty obvious which had more faults so picking Kunwar was definitely justified.

I agree, even I was kinda shocked to see how the hosts were questioning him, but then I am not sure if it was scripted as most things the hosts say on the set are scripted... Whoever Terence had picked, they might have asked, because all four in TKT are superb. I agree with H4L that Parvez was absolutely outstanding in the duet, and it is justified that Kunwar got nominated. Also Parvez gained more support (including mine) after he performed solo, so it's only natural that both Shakti and Terence wanted the same for Shakti. She was so excited and happy to be nominated, and didnt look even a bit shocked or upset with it!! She was confident and had full trust in TL, and he had full confidence in her, and their team work proved that he made the right decision, so Shakti proved that she can perform another form also in perfection and doesnt have to be typecasted by some critics...

Considering the two duets on Friday, both Shakti and Kruti did well, and it was hard to pick one. Though there was a stumble in the lift of Kunwar-Kruti, it wasnt Kruti's mistake, and she did her part very well, from start to end - her moves, expressions and timings were perfect. Also I felt that Kruti's act had more difficulty factor than Shakti's, since Kruti had to balance herself on a bamboo stick that was held by Kunwar and not on the ground.

So with you on the bolded part. Additionally, last time when Vandana and Shakti got a standing ovation for their performance, Kruti nominated herself for kasauti. Now, one can't keep on expecting that from Kruti all the time too. I think TL's nominations were absolutely fair. Wonder why everyone is going after him for that!

Totally agree, besides as GM said - its the masters decision. Remo/Geeta were never questioned, very annoying. Geeta's constant outbursts are getting very tiring, with all this silly unwanted politics, DID is going to lose out.

If Remo sent in his top contenders (esp last season)--its coz he knows who did not follow the given choreography, when Terence does--its coz he wants to play 'safe" If Remo's contestant Prince does the same 'Pop and Lock' until he reaches the Top 5-6 position and beats the concept to death, thats coz he is amazing at it, and does it best. If Terence's Shakti presented Contemporary dance for 4 times, her versatility is questioned. That too when she had'nt reached the top 10 position and presented variations in the contemporary dance form. When Remo's Meenu does hip-hop every single time, thats coz Remo is saving the best for later.
• If Remo criticizes other contestants who dont belong to his team, its because he is the "judge" and knows the best. If Terence criticizes on basic steps and explains the concept in more detail and the technical know-hows they say "its his habit and only criticizes"

This and many more!! The same standards dont apply when it comes to Terence!! Anyway, aren't we used to it?

Also its ok for Geeta to send Dharmesh in the bottom last time and say cos he has never been in before...

@SAS, so well said!!! You really nailed the hypocrisy of TL critics!! If Terence says something, he is bad and if he doesnt say anything also he is bad!! What a double standard!!! He is being treated like a stepchild on DID!!!

@Gauri, yes Kruti nominated herself that day saying Shakti and Vandana got the best performance award and so they should not be sent to kasauti. She was willing to leave if she didnt do well that day. And this time both girls were good, and Shakti seemed to be thrilled to finally do a solo she has been waiting for!


Even if Kruti's dance had a mistake due to not her fault, it doesnt make her as a weak dancer. If those kind of mistakes are taken into account, then many dancers sent to kasauti many times didnt deserve to be nominated. Geeta nominated Altaf instead of Kishore once, and again Dharmesh instead of Kishore. Then Remo nominated Shashank instead of Naresh once, and Nikki instead of Meenu or Bhavna, and again Meenu instead of Bhavna, and Punit instead of Shashank. All that time, no one questioned their decisions, neither the GM nor the hosts, except the first time Dharmesh was nominated by Geeta, then GM said he is shocked - it might be scripted, who knows! And I think the show wants to save Kishore so that they can find and bring his father onto the show for a drama!! And they might be thinking that Dharmesh has a better chance to gain votes than Kishore in the WC round...

I'm still not getting why they're Terrence this way, clearly he is the best dancer, teacher, choreo on the show. He is always a gentleman and never reacts rudely or angrily, is that why? But on the positive side, i do notice that GM is being kinder and more fair, he used to be horrible to Terrence last season (like asking him to dance, his shoes etc). This season he gives him grandsalutes/muscle awards very frequently, in fact Remo has hardly recd any. Whereas last season even when TKT did better, RKR got salutes. I guess GM realizes what Terrence brings to the show. Even Salman joked that Geeta ma shouldnt cry or something. There temperaments are already famous!!!
