The stretched and indirect debate over here happening is rather peculiar. š
I am not an excessive lover and neither a hater of the judges, but I simply love it when a dance being performed is good to the eyes of the viewers. It's a bitter truth that the folks must swallow: Terrance is outshining this season due to his work whereas Remo and Geeta are busy in playing 2 year old mind strategies but are not realizing that only good choreography will lead them far.
I did enjoy many of Remo's choreographies last year as well, and even Geeta's, so I of course had hopes from them this season as well, but they have managed to be only duds this season, except Geeta Ma (looking beyond her nautanki) is proving herself to an extent.
In the end - of course the contestants can only do so much with mediocre choreography and they need that a catalyst to shine. With all of that said, I still do very well hope that Remo, Geeta, Terrance concentrate solely on providing us good entertainment through various compositions of dances, and leave behind over the top gimmicks out of the show.
Oh, and on to the topic itself, for the last time, contemporary is a vast form of dance and within itself, it carries in various other structures that has scope. Just accept without doubting - SHakti so far has proven to be the best out of the rest, but now I also want her to attempt classical, Bollywood, or hip hop because God forbid if she was declared the winner, her win would be looked down upon some.
@CC, no I will not have said different about Shakti if she was in RKR and still performed the same way... She is a trained dancer from TLDC and so she is very good at contemporary, the same way Punit is who is also passed out from TLDC. Remo would have selected Shakti for his team if he had the first turn to pick, and he selected Punit for his team because he had the first pick. I like Nikki and Punit a lot from RKR, and Shashank to an extent. I never liked Meenu and Bhavna, though I liked Bhavna's fish act with Shashank... Naresh was so-so for me, and I liked him only because he was Mangesh's brother but he didnt come to the level of his brother... Then I like Binny a lot, in fact she is one of my top picks for the finale. I also like Dharmesh, Kishore and loved Altaf, and was sad to see him leave... Coming to TKT, I never liked Ameeth!! LOL, even being in TKT couldnt justify for me to like him!! I didnt like Parvez in the beginning and I even thought he will be eliminated soon, and only when I saw his first solo, I was blown away!! I have become a great fan of this dark horse ever since... Kunwar and Shakti got into my heart through their first duet, not because of them being in TKT... Maybe true that only Terence could bring that out of them the way he did... Kruti wasnt my favorite either when the show started with top 18, until I saw her doing the jazz with Vandana, and both of them made me like them in that act...

Yes, if Shakti was in RKR, I probably wouldn't have praised her simply because I know for a fact that her potential would have remained within herself and not be transformed into active energy.
ChupkeChupke:
I wish all the best to Terrance, Remo, and Geeta throughout the season, and I am not attached to the show's format, contestants, grand master, hosts, mentors very much this season because my expectations weren't met and the charm is simply amiss that was present in the first season. Oh well, I just tune into the show on the weekends to get a glimpse of dances, and then come here at times to praise the ones I admired. Next week, I may be here praising Remo's or Geeta's team, who knows. *shrugs*

Are you Akanna? If not then there is no need to include yourself here. May be I said jokingly to her.

Dont take my comment wrong way, we need to be non-serious some time. I understand what you say. I agree this year TKT are far ahead of RKRs. In last DID Remo was ahead of other, he started lifting other did after that even after criticising Remo for lack of dance. Remo started playing with fire, other copied it. Remo started stunt and using areal way other followed him. But this year Terrence is far ahead and his contestants are able to execute them perfectly. I saw Remo tried few new thing this year but his contestants could not justified that and failed. May be Remo's broken legs are coming as hindrance or may be he is busy in lot of assignment or may be not taking required interest in the show. Whatever but something is missing in RKR performances.

Just FYI, Remo and Geeta started using the stunts way AFTER Terrence introduced Mayuresh's ring act in Season one... and the aerial act was also by Terrence, Remo attempted the rope act later... just FYI...
