Start of episode
The crowd gathered in the chawl slowly disperse leaving Mukund and Chandini standing alone. Mukund asks Chandini worriedly if something will happen to his aai and Chandini assures him that nothing will happen. She tells Mukund to come with her to the police station, but suddenly she says that Beeji is unwell and hasn't even taken her shawl. She tells Mukund to come with her to the room and is walking when suddenly she stops short on hearing a noise. She looks towards the trees where Manisha is hiding, but she doesn't hear anything else. Mukund asks her what is the matter. Chandini shakes her head slowly and both walk off. Manisha's face then emerges from the trees and she goes away from there.
Chandini takes Beeji's shawl from the almirah. Mukund tells Chandini that he has some money. Chandini goes to the table drawer and takes out the Rs. 1000 which Mrs. Godbole had given Beeji as an advance. She tells Mukund that in Jalandhar, they didn't let Beeji lift even a finger and now Beeji was forced to do work to earn money. Maybe it was because they had to face such a day. She prays to Matharani to make everything go well. The two come out of the room to be met by a very worried Vidya. She tells Chandini that Prem has gone on a picnic from his office and he has also taken Beeji's tiffin dibba. He hasn't come back yet, and after what happened to the children, she is very worried about his health. Chandini assures her that Prem will be perfectly ok.
Mrs. Godbole and Beeji are sitting in the police station and Beeji says that when her husband walked in Jalandhar, he was so respected that nobody had the courage to even look at him directly and now his wife is inside the police station. Just then a woman police orders the two of them to get inside the cell. Beeji gets up, trips up but is held by Chandini. Chandini pleads with the woman police asking her if she cannot see how unwell her Beeji is. She puts the shawl around Beeji. Just then the police chief comes and asks them what is the hulla. Chandini pleads with him to release her Beeji as they are innocent. But the police says that it is a serious matter as 20 children are hospitalized and if he tries to help, he will surely lose his job. He is helpless as his hands are bound by the law. He tells her that the only way out is to provide bail money in the morning and till then the two have to remain in jail. The woman police lead the two women into the cell. Mukund tells Chandini that he knows a lawyer who might be able to help them.
Chandini and Mukund go to the lawyer's house and Mukund rings the bell. The lawyer who is in his nightsuit is surprised to see Mukund at such an hour in the night. Mukund says that they are in trouble and they need his help. The lawyer silently closes the door. A dejected Chandini and Mukund look at each other and slowly turn around when the lawyer opens the door again. He is buttoning his shirt and tells the two to come inside.
A frantic Manisha comes back to her room and starts banging on the door and calling out her friend's name which is Loweena. Loweena opens the door and asks Manisha why she was banging on the door when she knows it is so late and what the society people think of the both of them. Manisha who is pacing the floor worriedly suddenly asks Loweena if she has any money because she needs lots of it. Loweena says that you know about my state. I had Rs. 4000 but I had to pay the bania and now only Rs. 600 are left. She asks Manisha how much she wants and Manisha answers Rs. 50,000. Loweena is shocked at the amount and asks her why she wants so much, but Manisha just brushes it off and says she just wants it now. Loweena suggests Akshay and some other guy's name called AJ from whom she might be able to get money, but Manisha refuses. She suddenly thinks of somebody and rushes out of the room.
The lawyer tells Chandini that she has to arrange for the bail money by the morning and in the meantime he will get all the papers ready. Till then nothing can be done. He asks her if she has any money. Chandini then takes out her money, the lawyer asks her how much she has and Chandini replies Rs. 1000. The lawyer says that nothing can be done with Rs. 1000 and you need Rs. 4000 minimum. Chandini is shocked at the amount and the lawyer says it is a big procedure to get bail and every step – from the stamp papers to getting the signatures requires money. He then tells Chandini that if they have money difficulty, he has a way. Getting bail only for 1 person is easier and much less costly. Chandini looks at Mukund and shakes her head saying she wants bail for both Beeji as well as Sunitha tai. The lawyer asks if she knows anybody influential who can give sifarish. Chandini says no and then Mukund suggests her boss. Chandini calls up Vishesh's mobile, but it is switched off. She then calls Amy and tells her that Beeji is in the police station now. Amy is shocked and asks her why, but Chandini says she will tell the matter later. She tells Amy that Vishesh's cell is switched off and Amy says that is because he has left for an urgent meeting to Singapore and must be in the plane by now. Chandini is frustrated. Amy tells her that they can leave a message on Jenny's desk and when Vishesh sir gets it, he will call back. But Chandini says it will be too late by then. Amy tells her she will come by as soon as her shift finishes and a frustrated Chandini puts down the phone. She suddenly thinks of something and tells the lawyer that she will go and arrange for money by the morning.
Loweena who is smoking a joint tells Manisha that even Roshan didn't give you the money right? That is because he spent all the money on drugs yesterday. Taking a drag from the cigarette, she says and it is mindblowing. She offers the joint to Manisha who refuses to take it. Akshay asks Manisha what she is planning to do with Rs. 50,000 and an irritated Manisha snaps back saying she will tear it, burn it, what does he care?
Chandini takes out Manisha's payal and tells Mukund to sell it so that they can get some money. Mukund says, but the payal belongs to your sister. But Chandini tells him that they came to Mumbai just to find Manisha. They had thought they will take Manisha back to Jalandhar as soon as possible. But such a thing does not seem to be happening quickly and they are facing all sorts of problems. She is strong enough to handle it, but her poor Beeji cannot take the strain. She says that if by selling her sister's payal, she can help Beeji out of trouble then she doesn't mind. Just then Vidya comes in worriedly and tells Chandini with tears in her eyes that Prem has still not come and she is very worried. Her saas does not know about the tiffin and if she does, she will be very angry with her. Chandini asks Mukund to get a rick and she tries to console Vidya. She tells her to call up Prem's office and Vidya says that she has already called 10 times, but nobody knows anything and even the guard is getting irritated at her. She tells Chandini that she doesn't even know the mobile numbers of any of Prem's friends. Chandini assures her that everything will be fine and tells Vidya to pray to Matharani.
Mukund is walking to get the rick when he suddenly stops short on seeing Prem and exclaims 'Prem'. Prem asks Mukund why he is so surprised to see him. Vidya and Chandini also come out and both are very happy on seeing Prem. Vidya tells Chandini that Matharani's aashirwaad has worked and in sheer happiness she goes and hugs Prem. Prem then tells Chandini that her Beeji's chole was amazing and everybody in his office loved it. He says that he wants more of her food. Chandini then tells Vidya that everybody in Prem's office ate Beeji's food and are fine which means that the children's food poisoning was caused by some other source. She tells Vidya that only she can save her Beeji by giving a statement to the police. Vidya remains silent and a worried Chandini asks her what is the matter. Vidya with her head hanging down says, that you know I cannot give such a statement. Chandini is shocked and asks why? Just then Tulsi ( Vidya's saas ) says because bahus of respectable families don't go to police stations to give statements. She berates Vidya for not telling her that she gave Prem Beeji's food in which zahar was mixed. Chandini pleads with her, but she refuses to listen and goes inside. Vidya is turning to go inside when Chandini implores her to give the statement. But a silent Vidya just goes inside the house with Prem ( who is having a guilty look in her face ) following her. Chandini is left standing helplessly.

Preview of next episode: Chandini tells someone that she is her father's daughter and her whole life, she has stood by her principles and moral values. Therefore she won't give rishwath ( bribe ) Amy asks Chandini why she is being so stubborn when her aai is in so much trouble. She tells Chandini that the system is like this and one cannot do anything about it. Chandini thinks to herself that she is forced in a situation where she has to choose between her principles and her need to help Beeji. She prays to God to help her find a way.
