January 27, 2010 Written Update

Dadi tells the family that Jyoti is a to-be mother, and she shouldn't be dancing. Bhagya dada assures her that he's worked with pregnant woman in his troupe earlier, and there've never been any complications. Finally, they get her to understand. Padma inquires about the pay, and to everyone's surprise he tells them it would be around 20,000.

Later, Padma is making the bed and tells KK that they should think about buying some new sheets, esp since Jyoti got a new job. KK taunts her for thinking of all this when earlier she was calling Jyoti a burden. Padma tells him that she knows he can never think of her intentions in a good light, because after all she is Jyoti's stepmom. The next morning, Padma calls the people who had come to see Deepu and gets a no from them. She walks away in anger, leaving behind a guilty Jyoti.

Deepu is walking home from work when he is stopped by Vishal in his new car. Vishal gets out and tells Deepu how his life has changed ever since this rishta came to him. His father-in-law got him a new car and even promised him a job after marriage in a big company. Deepu congratulates him.

At home Baby Mausi comes there to show pics of some girls she got for Deepu. All the girls have some fault or another, like being married previously or being older than Deepu. Padma asks why she can't show any proper girls, and Baby Mausi explains to her that with 2 daughters still at home, one whose husband is in jail and one whose husband has left her… she shudnt expect anything else. Padma catches Deepu listening to this. Later that day Deepu stumbles in drunk and Jyoti comforts him, explaining that everything will be ok. After he goes to bed, she thinks to herself that even if it means removing some colors from her life, she will do anything to bring some light into his. End.
