Mujibur Rehman's assasin was finally executed ! What about ppl convicted for Rajiv Gandhi's killing? Why was she spared ? Was slow justice & lack of will to take any action this way or that responsible ? what do U feel? Kasab's trial continues .... Many undertrial ppl languishing in jails ..Judges enjoy frequent long vaccations !

There is an abuse of the Judicial System apart from unnecessary delays.
Singapore used to have similar problems but it was all cleaned up, but then Singapore is a very small nation. Some powerful person has to take control of the situation.
The same steps were also taken to clear up several old tax cases and pending issues.

Yes, I wish our next prime minister will be someone like Anil Kapoor in Nayak. But then again, that is in movies and you can't compare reel life with real life. But still it should be very similar.

@ angie ji: our judiciary system is not useless, it's corrupt. But at least our system doesn't have any loopholes and people don't go to jail for stupid reasons or the guilty isn't set free because they couldn't be proved guilty "without a reasonable doubt", even if the evidence goes against him/her, or in civil cases, the "preponderanceof evidence"

Due to politics most judicial systems are often influenced and as such there is no such thing as fair judgement in such cases. Persons associated with the ruling Political Party can get away with many things. Happens all over the world unfortunately.

well one good thing is that it cant last forever, Some of the judges themselves are now criticising the unneccesary & deliberate adjournments on flimsy grounds like not bringing the relevant papers or file lost in transit etc. A simple case that cud B decided in 3-4 hearings goes on for 100 hearings! It causes a lot of financial drain besides emotional & lot of time waste ! delay in proceedings on flimsy grounds at least must B done away with as justice delayed is very often justice denied. If it comes too late its really useless by then !
