I too believe that there are lot of factors influencing votes other than singing. Location and looks are just some of them.

One more thing I dont why gals are geting out in music programs ..u know in another program also even gals were the best they got voted out first ...My guessing is majority of people who are voting are girls and they may not be in favour of girls as a winner..you really need to do something if you want your fav minal to bcome Idol

I don't mind eithr Meenal or Amey being the Idol..hope this was a jodi too, the two would've ROCKD👍🏼

I know what you are saying. We cannot expect people to vote strictly on the basis of singing. Regional bias or looks personality is bound to influence voting. But it should be on minute level. And major criteria should be singing. If two contestants are best singers e.g. Amey and Karunya............i like both. But first i want Amey to be Indian Idol and if not him then i want Karunya. Now here i think my vote is influenced by little bit regional factor. But they both are good singers first. I find Ravi more handsome than Karunya......but here my vote would go to Karunya b'coz first i judge on the basis of singing and then looks or region etc. And sympathy votes are beyond by understanding

As far as American Idol is concerned.........here Rock and Pop culture is more prominent than in India. In India our main stream bollywood heroes play the role of Rock stars most of the time.........i mean dancing on stage and entertaining crowd......now some of them have started singing as well. So if at all there is someone like Qazi who has this so called 'Rock Star' tag........it is a very short-lived career. And what will be the closest option for a Rock Star.........playback singing. So ultimately singing is the only thing, which stays. Don't know when public will understand this........

I am atleast ok with atitude /looks etc but regional bais hard to digest ...now dont wanna stress much as u also favoring Ameya just bcoz he is from Mumbai😉 As such he is good in singing so no one gonna complain unless and untill someone really doesnt like him.
