Even though a lot of people on the DMG forum have bashed Ridz's character time and again, after watching today's episode, I have come to the conclusion that Ridz is a very resilient character who, despite all the setbacks in her life, knows how to bounce back time and again. Although, Armaan's character has been the life of DMG, it is Ridz who defines resilience and toughness of character and we should all admire her for that.
Whether it was her discovery of her real status in the Gupta family (adopted) at an age where most people could break down or start hating their adopted family for keeping them in the 'dark' so long, her ability to stand for her love even when her father was opposed to it, not give up on her love when armaan lost his memory, then almost giving up her life for armaan in the terrorist encounter, and then restarting her life at Sanjeevani after she was told that armaan deserted her, she has always bounced back from major setbacks and events that could driven ordinary women to depression or even suicide!
This event with SID in my opinion has been the worst crisis of her life as SID's childish act has tainted her character. Even when she had gone through the previous setbacks in her life, she had never lost her self respect and had always maintained her dignity through all those crisis, but SID has really bruised her worse than anyone ever has. For a woman her dignity and self respect are more important than anything in her life. But knowing Ridz, I am sure she will bounce back soon and be able to face the world with her head high once again.
Despite all their convoluted thinking, I thank the CVs for making Ridz such a resilient character- someone all of us women should be proud of.
(Yes,what she did to SID after her airport encounter was juvenile, but hey she is human, heartbroken, and still upset with Armaan- what can she do if SID reminded her of armaan? Maybe this was her heart's defence against losing herself to another man like Armaan. One tends to over do things when one is in defensive mode)
