There is no doubt about Geeta's limited knowledge on diff styles of choreography and she will talk far her contestant but do you remember the comments Geeta made for Ameeth's performance? She said something which meant - "You are not a trained classical dancer but Terence made you look like a star today, put the whole impressive show("safety net") for you by just teaching 3 mudras"
Ameeth no doubt even if it was just 3 mudras, performed very gracefully and confidently. It never felt he was an untrained dancer in classical and he didn't look awkward as some men do when they perform classical style.

Any member with experience in classical dance form can shed some light on this? Were there only 3 mudras or was Geeta was totally disregarding Ameeth's performance?
(Ameeth's performance today though very good, was very short one with the classical style and he went on with the fire thing. Not sure if it was really 90sec act or lesser)

hi dear..though i agree tht i didnt like geeta's comment on ameeth ..maybe it was true tht he jst used 3 mudras or whtsoever...i wnt comment on tht coz i have no knowledge abt it...bt she said it in a sarcastic tone...tht he put a safety net on u..he MADE U LOOK like a star while kishore u ARE a star.tht was were i felt it was a taunt...
bt yet i dnt blame geeta coz yestd i felt somewhere it was initiated by Terrence..i love terrence a lot..bt yest i think he was the first to comment on Ameeth & Kishore's performance and he told tht ameeth u tried something new...u explored ur weakness..a new genre..apne strentgh ke saath to sab kkelte hai..kishore aapne apne strength se khela hai..u performed in wht u r good at...something on those lines...so somewhere terrence did put kishore down..he cld have jst said tht this was nt ameeth's genre bt yet he tried and performed well...bt the last addition was somewht unwanted..i wnt say it was wrong bt ya it was nt needed.. and i think tht is wht provoked geeta to comment on ameeth...
jst my observation...i dnt intend to hurt anyones feelings.. 😊

I totally understand when you are coming from but I think you might have misunderstood what he was trying to say.
Let me give an example. Last week all bottom 6 contestants stuck to their forte except maybe Meenu. But for Meenu she wasn't entering a new dance form that was difficult, it was the body language and expressions that would have been difficult. But let's look at the others. Shruti stuck to hip hop, even vandana stuck to bollywood/classical type dancing, kishore did what he was best at and even ameeth and naresh did what they are good at. However this week Terence took a risk. The style of dance that Ameeth did is something completelyyyyyy different to what he usually does. Those stunts that he did were very risky, I mean playing wih fire is never easy and to actually create a performance from it takes a lot of training. We all know it's not possible to learn classical dancing within a week, Geeta Maa herself should know that very well. I remember when I trained for Bharatanatyam with an amazing dance teacher for a little over 4 months and even 4 months is wayy too little time to grasp all the mudras and to grasp the whole form then forget about one week (if they were even given that). If we compare dancing to something which we have been dancing to for years and just adding a bit extra in it, then obviously we know that both have worked hard but I think Ameeth worked a lot harder to do what he did, there was definitely no 'safety net'.
My point is that when peole come to the bottom 6, everyone looks to play it safe and dance to something they are already very good at and it takes guts to do what Ameeth and Terence did and Terence was 100% right when he said he wasn't playing it safe.

i understand ur point..terrence definitely didnt play safe...and he actually tried something new on ameeth and ameeth gave an excellent performance. bt the point is according to me if terrence wld have jst brought out this point tht ameeth did smething which was nt his cup of tea...he had never done it bt yet he learned so quick and gave a mindblowing performance thn tht wld have been enough....it wld have proved ameeth's excellence and calibre..there was really no need of saying tht everyone plays with their strength & kishore did the same...i love terrence's comment...he is very logical...bt somewhere maybe this remark didnt go well with geeta...atleast i felt so and so she reacted tht way......

I totally agree, Terrence started the whole fuss by saying kishore did what he is good at....but why not give him a credit for doing it 12 feet above the ground, what he did was damn risky and he did it superbly.
So geetama had to deffend him...though her way of doing it was too rude.
Anyway, I liked amits dance too and i didn't want him to go too....i hope he comes back some how.

I agreed with Geeta's comments on Ameeth's performance. Even Terrence pointed out that Kishore stuck to what he is best at - nothing wrong in pointing out things that are obvious.

Last season also, all Prince did was locking and popping where as Geeta was constantly experimenting with her students. Looks like Geeta learned from her last season's mistake and she did not push Kishore to perform something that is not his genre.

Fact is that Terrence failed to showcase Ameeth's talent yesterday and Ameeth paid the price for it. Why to hold Geeta responsible for calling out what Ameeth's dance was all about - presenting the three mudras over and over again in differently - nothing awesome there.

hi to you too 😊
Good observation! yes, you are right about terrence saying that extra sentence and Geeta did get provoked.
Also. last week Ameeth's performance was nothing to talk about in the elimination round and Terrence was giving a standing ovation to Ameeth, which I didn't understand and didn't expect from him!😲

I too agree to that. Terrence is always good with comments, very logical , regardless of whether it is his own team or others. But at that moment of do-or-die situation he just "over-commented" and Geeta, the short-tempered that she is also had to defend her contestant - Kishore and by no means what Kishore did was any less. The walk on hands upside down, he did on the 12 high narrow bar was amazing, cool and breathtaking too.

Not to defend Terence bc he did take a dig at Kishore. But at the same time as they say in teh limelight, their first solo is supposed to be their strength style, which both did last week. This week he did something diff with Ameeth to show versatility while Kishore did similar style. This week Ameeth def danced more than Kishore

Good you felt that way, bcos I felt what Ameeth did was half dance and half stunt, whereas Kishore did stunt mixed in dance. I was left wanting more of Ameeth's classical dance and wanted him to have that for his full 90sec act than bring in the fire-stunt. He definitely was very good with his classical form. He had amazing grace, starting from the way he joins the fingers of both his hands.
