Vikas recently purchased a 1,600-sq ft flat in Meghdoot Towers, off Lokhandwala Complex, Andheri.
Bheed se door
Surprisingly, the actor chose not to move to Palm Court, Malad — a haunt popular with television actors.
"The traffic there is terrible. It's just impossible to navigate that area during the day. I didn't want to move in to a place that had so much noise and pollution. The apartment I am shifting to has a relatively quiet neighbourhood."
When reminded that he will now be staying in close proximity with co-actor Aamna, he said, "She isn't exactly my next-door neighbour. I am staying on the second floor in B wing, while she's in A wing. But it's nice to
know she's around."
Warm welcome
On his plans to decorate the house, Vikas said, "The interiors are being done by me and my wife. I don't want to use Vaastu Shastra; instead, I plan to incorporate Feng Shui."
The actor is excited about his room, which he calls his den. "I want to have old movie posters framed on one wall, with a huge plasma TV between them. I don't want to go overboard or loud when it comes to designing my den. I want to keep it simple and warm. Any one who comes to visit should get a feeling of being welcome."
Ethnic taste
Vikas is planning a trip to Lahore to choose the furniture for his home. "I want an ethnic look throughout, and I'm using wooden flooring. Hopefully, I should get some time off to go to Lahore to pick up some stuff there. They have fabulous, handcrafted interior furniture, especially chairs, tables and wardrobes. Delhi is another place where I will shop."
Sethi plans to shift to his new place in a month's time. "I am really excited about the place; it is exactly how I wanted it to be. Besides, my Labrador, Louis Figo will also get more space to roam about and chill."
