Manav is not divorcing Archana cos of Shravani.. rather he is ready to marry shravani cos of the divorce. If you remember, the seven holy promises were broken by Manav when he came to know that the girl he had loved, trusted and respected for so long had inflicted horrific tortures on his fmaily. He makes this statement in the jail. Similarily he declares in front of the whole Karanjkar family that this relationship has broken forever from his side. At that time Shravani was nowhere in the picture. Then why did he do so?? Currently he IS asking for the divorce ONLY TO MARRY SHRAVANI . Had Shravani not been in the picture , in all probability we wud have seen an astounded Manav , an astonished Manav...........angry , but even surprised , that Archu herself has said NO to the divorce . He wud have wondered why she is saying NO all of a sudden , what brought about the change . We do NOT see him even wasting a moment on that ........he doesnt even want to know the reasons for the refusal . Why ? Is this simply coz he is sooooooo angry with archu that he doesnt even want to know the reasons ? Nope . He doesnt even want to know the reasons only coz he bluntly wants to marry Shravani ASAP. The reasons dont matter as the divorce is wanted badly from his end only for marrying Shravani .

Do you think if Shravani's pregnancy hadn't come up, he would have been ready to accept Archana back or refused the divorce? I for my part don't think so AT ALL... the reason??? Cos the respect in the relationship is gone. Although Manav can't help loving Archana the same way as earlier, he knows there is no future in the relationship cos the respect and trust he had for Archana is no more now.. and relationships don't survive only on love.. neither do they last only cos of the seven promises. This is just like Archana refused to go back to Manav even though she loved him- there was no respect cos she thought he was characterless.I disagree . He wud stay angry but he wud start wondering and while demanding explanations for Archu's refusal he wud inadvertently start listening to her side of the story . Inspite of himself he wud be forced to see her side of the story and it wud have sunk in that she was a victiom as much as he was . The three month stay with Shravani and Archu , and The three month stay without Shravani and just Archu is a BIG DIFFRENCE . In the latter , the innocence of the marraige , inspite of his anger wud not have been destroyed . Whatever had hapened it was between them only and no other woman or man wud be there in the picture . That kind of damage to the heart had not been done yet . The respect that was lost is gained back too ...........Archu regained it the moment she found the truth didnt she ? He too wud have , after the three month stay with Archu alone ........so many things wud have come to light . Loss of Respect can be changed into Gain of Respect ...........but hurt to the heart due to another woman , or man Can never be salvaged . It damages permanently .

So it is not like Manav is breaking the seven promises or his relationship so that he can get married to Shravani.. that is a horrible thought. He is getting married to Shravani cos from his side the relationship was broken long back, the day that complaint was made. He has no hope in it anymore (cos of all that I've written above). This is what he says to his father too. This is also the reason Archana refusing divorce in court doesn't make him happy.. for him the relationship is broken. If tomorrow, after coming to know the truth about Archana, if he starts trusting Archana but still decides to go ahead with his decision to marry Shravani cos of the promise and his so-called responsibility towards Sachin's child.. forgetting about the seven promises to Archana and his responsibility towards her... then THAT will indeed be a flaw in his character. Well I wont be surprised if he does EXACTLY that . So lets wait and watch . There will indeed come a time in the serial when he knows Archu is not at fault yet he will profess himself helpless and continue with his idiotic plan of marrying Shravani while still mooning at Archu .

So even though I don't sup port Manav's decision to marry Shravani, the whole situation doesn't really come up as something going against his character given the current circumstances. His point of view right now is..'OK, my relationship is broken.. but I dont think I can ever love someone again or get happily settled in life.. I will never be able to move on.. so why not sacrifice my life for Shravani and the child.. at least shravani's honour will be saved and the child will get a name..' again.. not the right decision.. a decision taken in a weak moment...but one that goes with his character nonetheless.. doing all he can to save the honour of a girl in the society and give his brother's child a good future.

Agree with you on the part however that adoption would have been much more sensible than marrying and ruining two lives (actually 3.. Archana as well.. but right now he isn't thinking of her) Also agree that their relationship was always portrayed as a bro-sis relationship and so their pair looks real bad to me. Yup .Agree with u here .
