Zee TV no 3 all 3 channels drop - Page 2

Its due to cricket that TRPs have fallen. However YRF TV is on its way out soon. The numbers are just horrible.

According to Tam (HSM, C&S 4+), Rishta.com and Powder, the newest additions to Sony's YRF slot, have scored dismally to fetch TVRs of 0.6 and 0.4 respectively for the week ended 9 January.

While Rishta.com, the one-hour fiction with a matrimonial connect, is aired on Sundays at 8 pm, action thriller Powder is telecast from 9-10 pm, also on Sundays.

Meanwhile, the performance of the other three shows in their second week of launch has not managed to witness any upswing. The top celebrity driven and Karan Johar-hosted reality show, Lift Kara De, has only moved downward with an average TVR of 1 during the week. Seven, meanwhile, pocketed an average TVR of 1.1 while Mahi Way garnered nothing more than a mere 0.8 TVR.

Yea YRF shows r total flat, and by introducing them Sony has also lost their prime time weekend movie slot, which always got decent trp's. I think only Seven and LKD will run their full course. The rest??

@ Minu: I haven't been checking aMap regularly. But like Gur said Agle Janam should be in the normal range of 3.6 to 4.2 but its best not to get too complacent.

@ Lalit and Gur: Yeah YRF shows aren't catching on. I think the res will be out soon. With the sort of marketing Sony put into those shows any other channel would have increased by at least 20-50 GRPs but Sony declined! I think the channel, timings of the shows, concept of the shows and the the way all five shows were advertised are to blame.
