Katrina's new releases in 2010
But what about 2010? Will this year too be a successful year for Kat? Will she continue to be the No.1 actress this year as well? How many releases does she have this year? We found answers to all these questions from none other than actress Katrina Kaif. Here's what she had to say - "Well, yes, I'm glad that 2009 was a great year for me and I just hope it's the same this year as well. I've been quite busy for the past couple of months, as I've got 3 releases this year. They're all excellent films, and I just hope the audience like them too."
Do we really need to name her first release of 2010? All right, just in case you didn't know, Kat will be seen in Prakash Jha's Rajneeti, which is all set to release on May 28. "Well, you'll get to watch me in a new avatar opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Rajneeti, which was shot in Bhopal. One thing I would like to clarify is that the characters in this film are not based on any real-life politicians," says the actress. Yeah, right, Katrina! You really want us to believe that? Anyway, apart from Ranrina (Ranbir + Katrina = Ranrina?), Ajay Devgan, Nana Patekar, Arjun Rampal, Naseeruddin Shah, etc. will be seen acting in Rajneeti.
Krissh 2 was in the news last year. Any guesses why? Aha, not because Rakesh Roshan (RR) thought of Krissh Season 2, but because Katrina Kaif was approached for this film. Don't believe us? Take a look: Katrina says, "Yeah, I was offered the lead role initially by Mr. Rakesh Roshan, but due to my busy schedule, I couldn't take up the offer." Okay, so who do you think was offered the role, in place of Katrina? Any guesses? None other than the tall, dimpled actress Deepika Padukone. Yes, and opposite Deepika will be, of course, Hrithik Roshan. It's his dad's film, after all! Why would he cast anybody else in his film? But had Katrina accepted the offer, we would have seen a fresh couple on screen this year.
