Nikitasha gets a cultural shock!
Touted as Remo's most favored Angel, Nikitasha Marwahfrom, US is trying hard to adjust herself with her Indian counterparts!
"I did not have any viewpoint on how my life would be in India after getting selected in Lux Dance India Dance. I felt terrible about leaving my family behind in Washington. It was just my passion for Dance that drove me here and I had to make up my mind to live in Mumbai for next 4 months. I am absolutely amazed by the quality of education and, the energy, the enthusiasm of the youth here."
This is what Nikitasha Marwah had to say about her life so far in Dance India Dance. But is she really happy?
"Well, all I can say is that I'm trying to adjust..." The insiders say Nikitasha is a stickler for cleanliness and her roommates love to stay in a pig's sty. It's difficult for her to adjust in such circumstances. "The cultural complexity is simply awe-inspiring for me" she says wistfully.
Like every other NRI, she's also pretty concerned about groceries used and drinking water over here'
Imagine leaving your entire way of life behind and coming thousands of miles away to live in a community where one stands out just because of height and color of skin in a sea of people.
Sensing that the girl is having a tough time adjusting herself to the typical ways of our Nation, her parents sent her gift items and a long loving letter.
When Mithun Da presented her with all these, the girl was totally overjoyed. Mithun da played Santa Clause to the other girls in Remo's team as well. He gave a teddybear to Bhawna who loves those cuddly creatures and a MP3 player to Meenu who cannot sleep without music.
So much for realizing a dream!
Ever thought Hip Hop could go Marathi?
If you thought Hip Hop was too cool to go Marathi, you thought wrong! The latest episode of Lux Dance India Dance captures the livewire twosome from Gujarat, Binny Sharma and Dharmesh Yelande from Geeta's Gang, delivering a kick-ass "Marathi Hip Hop act" to the beat of the evergreen popular Marathi song 'Naagoba Dolaayla Laagla'.
The comic act features a naagin Binny trying every trick in the book to bite Dharmesh, the Marathi Manoos desperately trying to escape her. Remixed to a catchy hip hop beat, the dance is being touted as MasterGeeta Kapur's latest trump card - a terrific innovation that is bound to take her team places!
At the end of the act when Binny the naagin manages to sink her teeth into Dharmesh's arm, he yells in chaste Marathi, "Haa Naagoba Malaa Chaawla. Atta maajha kaay Honaar?" (Oh my god, the snake's bitten me. What's going to happen to me?) Grand Master Mithun Da jumped right into the act at this point to say "Jaast kaahi Naahi Honaar. Tulaa log hya pudhe 'Nagoba' Dharmesh mhanteel." (Don't worry, you'll be OK! We'll just call you 'Nagoba' Dharmesh from now!)
When asked how he managed to speak such good Marathi in the middle of the act, Dharmesh clarified, "Oh but I am a Maharashtrian from Vadodara. It's my mother tongue!" Kaay? Aaavadla kaa?
According to a source from the sets, "this is the first time we will see an act with Marathi Hip-hop. The team is very excited. In the past we have experimented with Salsa-Raasleela, Kathakali on a Bollywood number and much more variety. So, this one goes for the Marathi Manoos."
Saumya's love quadrangle
Dharmesh Sir from Baroda has already become a nationwide rage amongst the youth. With his lanky body and swanky moves, this young lad from Baroda has already won the hearts of millions of aspiring dancers but what one didn't know that he has also sparked off a 'l'il ' thing' in sexy Saumya ' anchor of Lux DanceIndia Dance.
In an open forum, Saumya declared her new found love for Dharmesh. Though it was an unbearable shock to Dharmesh but equally flabbergasted were Jay and Terence.
Dharmesh is yet to recuperate from this shock, what surprised Mithun da was Saumya's open declaration, " Mithun da aaj main sabke saamne kehti hoon ki mujhe pyaar ho gaya hai- Dharmesh se'"To which Dharmesh replied,"Mujhe bhi kuch kehna hai ' ki mujhe bhi pyaar hai sirf aapse' pehle season se'"
Jay's Kachua dance might not have flattered Saumya's heart but Dharmesh's hip-hop style for sure has managed to charm the bird out of her nest!
