Oh God this is just so awesome baby...You dont realise how good it is.Ummmm no i so didn't ! i seem to have lost my charm in the original Picture perfect caps that i used to do back in the day...all due to the track which is so over my head, lack of Prida and Rosh...and most importantly missing in action SARAH!

This prayer is the Gayatri Mantra.It is one of the oldest mantras, and generally thought of as being amongst the highest and most powerful mantras of all. Here are two simple translations from the net.

Oh God! Thou art the Giver of Life,
Remover of pain and sorrow,
The Bestower of happiness,
Oh! Creator of the Universe,
May we receive thy supreme sin-destroying light,
May Thou guide our intellect in the right direction

and

We meditate on the glory of the Creator;
Who has created the Universe;
Who is worthy of Worship;
Who is the embodiment of Knowledge and Light;
Who is the remover of all Sin and Ignorance;
May He enlighten our Intellect.

And heres a word for word translation if anyone is interested.

Aum = Brahma ;
bhoor = embodiment of spiritual energy(pran) ;
bhuwah = destroyer of sufferings ;
swaha = embodiment of happiness ;
tat = that ;
savitur = bright like sun ;
varenyam = best choicest ;
bhargo = destroyer of sins ;
devasya = divine ;
these first nine words describe the glory of God

dheemahi = may imbibe
dhiyo = intellect ;
yo = who ;
naha = our ;
prachodayat = may inspire!
"dhiyo yo na prachodayat" is a prayer to God

May be the prayer can work in many ways too.Things might just work if we pray to God to guide the intellect --of those who are behind this current gharelu track --in the right direction.

OMG! priya! i always say this prayer....my grandddad taught me this and each time he would be in the States or i would go to india...i remember learning this prayer..but never really understood the deeper meaning! thanks for explaining!
