The 36th Annual People's Choice Awards kicked off awards season Wednesday (January 6) with a star-studded spectacle hosted by Queen Latifah at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. The biggest celebrities in music, television and film were honored by the fans who support them, with a record 60 million votes cast in deciding the winners. The top honors for the night went to "Twilight," which led the multi-nomination contenders with four wins across six categories. "New Moon" star Taylor Lautner took home Favorite Breakout Movie Star and shared Favorite On-Screen Team with Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, as "Twilight" took Favorite Movie and "The Twilight Saga" took Favorite Franchise.
