Saakshi Tanwar :
May 2010 see a comeback of short stories and mini series slots on TV. Something like how Best Sellers, Ek Kahani and Rishtey used to be.

Rakesh Bedi :
I like reality shows when they are subject to dance and singing. That's interesting. But I don't like the other kind. It's not pure reality and someone is making the final capsules after editing. I want to see more of humour. Except stand up comedies there are no other channels who are supporting humour.

Pragati Mehra :
One thing that I want to see is comedy... something like Sarabhai V/s Sarabhai. Not slapstick. Besides that of course I want Uttaran to go on. I would also like to see mature love stories. Reality shows are fun to watch too.

Rubina Dilaik :
I wish we have more of quality actors and shows than quantity. More of talent seeking reality shows should come up.

Juhi Babbar :
I would like to watch some decent comedy serials. Also, something like those one hour television series we recently had on TV.

Alok Nath :
I'd like it to be a bouquet of different flavours. There should be comedy, thriller, horror, detective serials etc. Right now, one channel decides something and then five others pick up the same! I hope there's variety. In four hours you should have shows catering to every age group.

Rupali Ganguly :
TV industry should become like the West where TV actors keep getting royalty on the re-telecast of their shows! And I definitely want Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai to be back. It had everything. Flavours of every emotion based on humour. Craziness with intelligence, as I'd like to put it.

Romit Raj :
I wish TV industry goes the western way. Due to high production values the shows are shot in malls, beaches, skyscrapers giving more to the audience. There should be better concepts and we should have stuff like Friends or 24 or Entourage. I also hope more film producers and production companies take interest in television.

Neena Gupta :
I really don't want to comment on this as I've lost all hope for television. After the commercialisation, there's little hope for improvement. It's been ten years since I've been talking about what I wish for the Indian Television industry. But it doesn't make a difference. So what's the point!

Saumya Tandon :
Indian TV programming now is like the newspapers; we read them everyday and throw them away. We do buy DVDs of Friends or Everybody Loves Raymond, Malgudi Days, etc. But we are not doing the same for the present or recently called off air shows. We must have very high quality programming.

Abhishek Rawat :
I believe with numerous channels available these days the much needed variety is there for all of Indian population except for one particular age group, which is that of teenagers, who I think still end up seeing what their mothers watch. Perhaps more content for this demography is required.

Ratan Rajput :
In 2009 we saw television moving from saas-bahus to subjects that are close to reality and which the common man can relate to. In 2010 we should take a step further exploring more such innovative subjects. Shows that should get more airtime are certainly fiction shows as they reach audiences in even remote areas.

Hiten Tejwani :
I would like to watch shows like 24 or Prison Break. They are technically very sound and also have a gripping storyline. Once you start watching them, you cannot stop. Very addictive. I wish our Indian television industry too comes up with such shows.

minu, article ki kucch editing toh kar diya karo, and also link to it.

I think Indian audiences and not channels are to be blamed for this problem of high quality programming. Because people like low quality😆.

What I mean is that people have issues with what's on television in just the cities. In rural areas anything works, and the more standard it is, the better it works. No high tech stuff works there.

And now a days a majority of the Audience are from Rural areas, so channels are doing everything they can to get their trp's.

Ratan said that we need tennage channels, there are enough, like MTV, Bindaas, but again not much limelight for them as trp's are low since not much audience base in rural.
