This post is dedicated to Yuvi , a fictional character and the real life embodiments of him who make grave mistakes , try their best to rectify them , ask for forgiveness with a hung head but intact dignity and walk through it all.... all alone.....but not letting the world know how they crumble and break inside.
Ever since Yuvi realized that his whole life has been centered around something that does not exist - that all planning and plotting of his life, his hatred for Shankypanks has been ill-founded , we see him guilty all the time. He has shifted from the revenge hell to a personal purgatory where he punishes himself every given second of the day. To be driven by a stinging emotional motive , breathing pain , grief and emptiness all the time , not to have anything to fall back on - and suddenly wake up to the harsh reality that it was all false and hollow.... that is something which even mountains cannot handle. And Yuvi is only human.....Yet , he is walking through it all... because he has earned this hatred and he deserves it. And he was subconsciously always prepared to deal with it.... Naina's hatred imbalanced him and it still hurts him but he is taking it in his stride .... did a mistake , gotta deal with the consequences.
But give it a thought from the outside. Look at Nikki, Naina, Keerti , Sid and everybody else. Everyone has a reason to hate him , have angst against him. Naina, because Yuvi broke her heart , others because he hurt Shankypanks and betrayed their trust. ......Natural human instinct and natural reaction. Justified. Right.......and what about the other side of the picture?
It is mighty easy to tell anyone and everyone you adore.... I love you... I will always be with you... You can rely on me... I can give my life for you... I take you as you are. We are sentimental human-beings and we give promises as tall as the hills in moments of love and warmth. But it is not easy and it is not possible on the human level. The moment a loved one committs a mistake that we cannot handle , we tell them to go away, they don't deserve us - they need to be punished - they need to suffer and we close doors on them.....
We are right in our places and they are wrong in their places ..... Yuvi was wrong and now , he is trying to make that wrong right. But is anyone willing to help him out? No. Except for Atul and Shanky , everybody has turned their back on him....
Hatred , accusations , blames , glares , pointing fingers is not what Yuvi needs right now. At the sensitive and delicate pscho-emotional juncture that he stands at , he needs to be told that IT IS ALRIGHT. Happens. You are only human and we know what you are inside and what life must have been for you. Everything and everybody deserves a second chance and we, we your friends , your mentors are going to pull you out of this. We are going to make you love life , see sunshine and someday this pain , this guilt , this angst, this endless hell will only be a distant memory.
But that is expecting too much - because when we get hurt , we only lick our wounds , we don't give a thought about what must have driven the attacker to do what he or she did. The sinner stays a sinner and we convince them that they will never be redeemed.
Yuvi is all alone today , or maybe he always was. These are equally hard times for Yuvi but he is dealing with them with quiet dignity and genuine guilt. Today , it seemed as though Yuvi wanted to be sitting there next to Shankypanks and telling him all that is in his heart.... that is Yuvi. All heart , even his mind is driven by emotion. His revenge saga is a proof of that.
Yuvi needs to stop apologizing as well. How much can you apologize. You can only do your moral duty by telling the afflicted one that you are sorry and love them. Fullstop. Rest is upto them.
Right now, at this point , there is only one person who can heal Yuvi , give him , his life and his heart a second chance and that is Shankypanks. Not Naina, not at all.
I hope tomorrow or day after , Shanky brings a promise of new dawn for Yuvi. Right now, he only needs to be released from his guilt and this continual hell ......NOTHING ELSE. 😊
