In MHO the point of DID is not only to select the best dancer but to cultivate talent. There is always room for improvement.

Anyone can be a student at any age, at any level and in any field. A teacher can always be a student.

I agree with Gauri, Dharmesh will raise the bar, he will create competition. Personally if I was in DID, I feel it would be an honor to compete with someone like Dharmesh.

From last season, Jai Kumar Nair was also a boogie woogie winner and he ran his own dance classes, Mayuresh was a part of Terrence's dance company before coming to DID, and Mandakhani was a teacher as well. So do you think they should not have been in the competition?

Also as good as Dharmesh is he is not the ultimate dancer or THE BEST dancer in the world (I don't think anyone really can be). No matter who his guru will be, Dharmesh will still benefit from their training and the rigorous routines.

Dharmesh deserve as much as other contstants deserve to be in this show.

If he is mentor, it doesn't mean he got his chance to be famous mentor. So why should he not take his chance from this platform, to win this show.

As far this show.. I love his dance and his personality.
He got a honest heart,, just hoped he was in Remo's team.

I see him joining Shiamek Dawar, TL and RF's league soon - as a dancer, performer, teacher AND choreographer. I am sure DID will give him the recognition that he truly deserves and on the scale he deserves. But that comes later. Right now is his time to prove what he is made up of and he has every right to prove it via DID-2.

I think you want to write one thing but write something else. You are negating your own point. You are clearly saying this competition will open door for him as choreography, that I absolutely agree with you. But this competition is for selecting dancer not a choreographer. Write the actual thing you want to write here clearly instead of ghumaing and phiraaing idhar udhar. I know what your real point and that is also my point too but I see this competition as what this competition is meant for.
Response to highlighted in Pink: Do you or he himself has doubt on his dancing talent? What is left for him to prove when he has already proved it through Boogie Boogie and through the talent of his student.
In the end it is personal perspective and sighting, I believe he does not need to prove anything in this show. He is an excellent dancer and really brilliant teacher. He is above this competition.
I see one role for him in this show which has been kept secret and will never come out. He is going to take care of teaching western dance to Geeta's gang member. Geeta's one dimensional knowledge(bollywood form) of dance had hurt his students in DID 1. None of her students could improve in other form of dance. That is the reason he was kept in Geeta's gang.

Prince's guru did not make it, and the students of the other contestants either did not audition or they did not make it.

while you have a valid point about the chemistry, what's to say the other pairs will not have chemistry? granted the chemistry Dharmesh has with his students will be more notable, but other pairs might develop that kind of chemistry as well

This is like saying Usain Bolt should not run in Olympics because he is already the fastest human.

this competition isn't only about proving something. a show like DID exists to give viewers entertainment and, in turn, provide the contestants with exposure and a fitting prize, which they work towards throughout the competition. yes, dharmesh is an excellent dancer and a brilliant teacher, but that doesn't go to say that he cannot continue to expand his horizons and benefit from the exposure DID gives its contestants. this is a platform he can most definitely utilize, and it would be completely illogical to deny him that.
and also, i do not believe he is above this competition. i'm going to exclude talking about geeta here because, well, i'm not done with my anti-geeta tirade and my fury is too strong to be able to praise her atm. but geeta aside, the choreographers/mentors on the show are brilliant. they have far more experience than dharmesh, and have probably mastered more dance forms than he has. he has a lot to learn from them and grow into his potential. that's right--potential. he is not all that he can be, there is definitely room for growth and improvement.
so, while i totally agree with your criticisms of geeta and am mourning over dharmesh's placement in her team, i disagree with your thoughts on dharmesh's place in the competition. many trained dancers and dance coaches have participated in DID, and so it makes perfect sense for dharmesh to be in the competition. nothing is granted for him just because he is a teacher, he still has to work to earn the grand prize.

Dharmesh!...why so much hype for him, I fail to comprehend. What I saw of him was a typical filmy style of dancing, whereas, I have seen better/different style fo dancing by a couple of other dancers (who are not hyped by being called just as "Dharmesh Sir" ).
As the show progresses, we will see the hype of "Dharmesh Sir" fading. If my gut feeling is true, we will see a limited/ restircted style of dancing by Dharmesh.

A lot of contestants in top 18 are trained dancers. Dharmesh is one among them and happens to be the best. Hopefully from DID he would get the recognition that is required to start his career in a big way, which wasn't possible even after winning boogie-woogie etc.

totally agree😊

i do agree DID willl help him find work of his calibre, but soem how its very unfair tht a guy who has so many students under his belt,is experienced,is already so hyped, gets 2 compete with raw talents.m sure there will be insecurities this time.
