You are clearly saying this competition will open door for him as choreography, that I absolutely agree with you. But this competition is for selecting dancer not a choreographer. Write the actual thing you want to write here clearly instead of ghumaing and phiraaing idhar udhar. I know what your real point and that is also my point too but I see this competition as what this competition is meant for.
Response to highlighted in Pink: Do you or he himself has doubt on his dancing talent? What is left for him to prove when he has already proved it through Boogie Boogie and through the talent of his student.
In the end it is personal perspective and sighting, I believe he does not need to prove anything in this show. He is an excellent dancer and really brilliant teacher. He is above this competition.
I see one role for him in this show which has been kept secret and will never come out. He is going to take care of teaching western dance to Geeta's gang member. Geeta's one dimensional knowledge(bollywood form) of dance had hurt his students in DID 1. None of her students could improve in other form of dance. That is the reason he was kept in Geeta's gang.
this competition isn't only about proving something. a show like DID exists to give viewers entertainment and, in turn, provide the contestants with exposure and a fitting prize, which they work towards throughout the competition. yes, dharmesh is an excellent dancer and a brilliant teacher, but that doesn't go to say that he cannot continue to expand his horizons and benefit from the exposure DID gives its contestants. this is a platform he can most definitely utilize, and it would be completely illogical to deny him that.
and also, i do not believe he is above this competition. i'm going to exclude talking about geeta here because, well, i'm not done with my anti-geeta tirade and my fury is too strong to be able to praise her atm. but geeta aside, the choreographers/mentors on the show are brilliant. they have far more experience than dharmesh, and have probably mastered more dance forms than he has. he has a lot to learn from them and grow into his potential. that's right--potential. he is not all that he can be, there is definitely room for growth and improvement.
so, while i totally agree with your criticisms of geeta and am mourning over dharmesh's placement in her team, i disagree with your thoughts on dharmesh's place in the competition. many trained dancers and dance coaches have participated in DID, and so it makes perfect sense for dharmesh to be in the competition. nothing is granted for him just because he is a teacher, he still has to work to earn the grand prize.
