WHY DO PEOPLE LIKE HIM SO MUCH?

why, why oh why...................is he soo forever loved, arored, idolized and fondly looked upon as a sex god, a superhero?
how come the waves of feminism has totally missed him and left him unscathed?
i am talking about............
none other than.....
"JAMES BOND"
the reason i opebned this topic was to debate on why such a sexist and misogynistic character like bond has been so popular with the people.........as we know, in every movie, the hero bond is seen to bed several half-clad beautiies , take them around in his arms as accessories akin to his cars and watches😆............and what not.
right from my childhood, i never could stand this character, i apart from the fact that he has an unnaturally charmed life thats too over-the-top for a normal human, i never liked his attitude regarding women................as feminists would say , "women are like casual breaks or re-enegizing drinks for him who he needs at his side to inflate his masculine ego.."
so my debate is, why do people find him so attractive even in this age of feminism..........how come his womanising, misogynistic character is given so much approval by the generation of today even? baffles me completely😆
wpuld anyone care to explain on this?😳

That is because he is Bond, James Bond.

Actually, the lifestyle of spies is pretty chaotic and risky. They never know which place they will have to be and what sort of dangers they will face. They also live fake lives with fake identities. That is why spies were expected not to indulge in marriage and romance. Secondly, seduction is one of the best ways to get intimate with a person, and access personal information that is not easily available through more scrupulous means. That is why spies were expected to use seduction freely when it meant espionage information.

Spies were known for their debonair player lifestyle. Not just male spies, Mata Hari is one of the most well known female spies known for her affairs and seduction.

James Bond portrays the stereotype image of spy and garners popularity. Women love him because he is fictional. He is a guilty pleasure they can indulge in without really weighing down on their conscience because he is fictional. In real life this is not appealing. But fictionally he appears cool. Its kind of like Edward Cullen who in real life would be a disturbing creepy stalker.

Sean Connery was the best as Bond. Now Bond is outdated but after a while it will be revived again.

Daniel Craig looks more like a Russki Bond villain. After Connery, Pierce Brosnan was best.

Pierce borsanan is ok,but I feel Daniel look like a romatic hero...His first movie I think 'Flashback of a fool' ,its different movie from his side, different story, his acting style same likeTransporter film fame.. Johnson Satham..😊

Bond the on-screen and book character is popular because he is slick suave sophicated, intelligent
good-looking has money takes risks and has an adventourus lifestyle
as well as being a real charmer of women

i guess maybe the lifestyle is appealing to some thats why he's popular

although i disgree with his womanising but as RTH said spies use seduction to get information
so there is logic there

Having said that i also agree with RTH that if guys were like that in real-life with womanising esp
they wud be real jerks

my pov mirrored RTH somewhat but its what i think 😊
