Character sketch
Samrat Shergil: young tycoon, left to handle his father's business at a young age after his father's death. Lives with mother and sister. Character is a mix of Aditya in JWM and a grown up version of Samrat of MJHT – arrogant and childlike at the same time. Is a known flirt, but is very serious about his work.
Gunjan Bhushan: Soft-spoken, shy, hides a quietly strong personality and strong convictions. Younger sister to Nupur and daughter of a widowed mother Vidya Bhushan, academically brilliant, socially a disaster, shy and tongue-tied, but can be a tigress when it comes to her loved ones.
Nupur Bhushan : Older sister of Gunjan, bright, bubbly, outgoing, a complete contrast to her quiet sister, deeply caring towards her widowed mother and younger sister. Sole bread winner of the family, informally engaged to Mayank Sharma.
Mayank Sharma: Neighbour of the Bhushans, lives few houses away with his mother Shilpa Sharma, a single mother. As brilliant as Gunjan academically, with a strong sense of responsibility to both his mother and Vidya Bhushan, his mother's best friend. Is studying law and working part time to put himself through law school.
Dia Swami: Samrat's good friend and PA. Married to Benji, another of Samrat's close friends. Although both are very good friends with Samrat, there is a certain line they know they cannot cross with him, an area he keeps hidden from everyone.
Suhani Shergil and Tarana Shergil: Samrat's sister and mother. They live with him ever since his father's death, although his mother was divorced from his father. Although Suhani appears to love her brother, Tarana Shergil and her relationship with her son Samrat is not as it seems on the surface.
