we need strong lead in indian tv?

hello everybody,

i had brought up this topic....but it got closed because apparently I was comparing tv shows......which I really didn't understand...because I wasn't talking about the shows, I was talking about the characters. I guess we are not allowed to say other soaps names even on this forum. Anyhow, yes i agree completelyyyyyy............it seems like all we see know are these god sent perfect little "sati savitri" female lead roles. That can't speak up for there rights and only qurbaan themselves for the happiness of others. They are not appriciated or respected. I think that gives out the wrong message to females that really are being abused by husbands and family member. It creates the notion in their mind "that this is my duty to not say anything and continue to take the abuse. To be Mrs. Perfect wife, i must take on this abuse".....Many people do take these shows very seriously and adapt it to their real life, as bizzaaaarrr as it may sound...it is true......I don't understand y we can't have a traditional character (because that is important too, we don't want them to be to modern, we like the traditional Indian quality in them), but have self respect and self esteem to fight for the truth. We have had many soaps in the past (names of which i won't mention) that had character as such.....so whats going on now???😕 Why is it so hard to mix the modern diva with the traditional devi in one character????????
