MUST WATCH!
He talks about how the controversy started, he talks about how they never "Stole the film from him" and shows the contract where they bought the story.

Then he shows the contract of where he signed that his name woudl be in teh rolling credits. He also says that chetan lied and said his name comes after junior artists and raju refutes that and says go watch the film again.

He also shows the paper where Chetan signed AFTER READING THE FINAL SCRIPT!

1. Hirani says 'they bought the story from CB'.

2. Hirani says that 'CB signed the contract where he agreed to the rolling credits'.

The main issue is not that. The issue still is that the story belongs to Chetan Bhagat which Hirani clearly states that in this video. When story belongs to CB then how can it be credited to Hirani and Joshi?

Screenplay is a totally different thing and Hirani-Joshi-Chopra are responsible for that. Story still belongs to CB and whether it is in the rolling credit or in the beginning still it should belong to CB. That is the issue here. Very simple!

If 3 Idiots win 'Best Story' at any award function then it would be highly unethical for anyone to grab it. It ONLY belongs to CB. Screenplay of course belongs to Hirani/Chopra. Anyways, if VVC is involved with anything then he will be the first one to run to the stage to grab the trophy even when the winners are sitting in the audience. 😆

After this controversy, people are watching 3 Idiots again and again to compare book and scenes and also to check rolling credits. 😆 FPS sales increased so much that it is almost going to surpass '2 states' sale which was CB's biggest hit.

So 'Aal iz well' for everyone associated with the controversy. Media and audience are the Idiots here. 😛

But maya, why raise a cry now? I mean chetan signed the contract If he had something to say, and felt that his name needed ot be mentioned iwht the makers, he shoudl ahve said so BACK WHEN ALL THE TERMS WERE BEING WRITTEN.

It doesnt matter what he feels now. The makers havent done anything to violate any contracts and or promises.

See, now it becomes tricky. Its easy to sympathize at first, but when you look at the makers side of the story, you see that they already made their terms clear, and he AGREED. So its not their repsonsibilty if he suddenly feels that his name shoudl be taken with hirani now.

Two reasons why CB is crying so late

1. Only after film release he realized his story was credited to others. Even if his name appears in rolling credits or anywhere it should still say that story belongs to him. Screenplay is where you adapt a story and that is why those scenes are different. Story is the basis of any film and as Hirani accepted here, it is based on FPS. So they cannot take credit for that. It is plagiarism issue which is a serious deal in western countries..not so in India.

2. CB now knows that at some award function 3 Idiots will win for 'Best story' and he wants to grab that award. 😊

I am no fan of CB. In fact I find him a mediocre writer. His books are like KJo's films-popular. You like it or hate it.

Maya I do agree htat he should get more credit, BUT I cant blame the film makers either. IN an industry where everything is a blatant copy wihtout even consideration, Hirani and team actually took a big step in considering to buy the rights, and doing all this paper work and all.

And they have actually followed thorugh with all their promises. NO matter how unfair they seem now, the piont is, bhagat agreed to all theri terms, signed the contract, went through the entire script,etc.

His main complaint is where his name was added right? But the contract clearly said in the rolling credits. Should he not have dealt with that issue when tehy were donig the paperwork?

They did so because CB had a best seller in FPS. Had Hirani just lifted the story, he would be in court by now. CB is a huge HIT among Indian audience. All his 4 books are bestsellers.

Do you know a small time writer raised his voice when 'Lage Raho Munnabhai' was being made? No one noticed or cared because he was a nobody. His name is Ajay Gupta.

Abhijat Joshi seems to be Hirani's dummy because he got credit for Lage Raho Munnabhai too which was written by Ajay Gupta.

It could have been a valid fight with both parties having points and counter points...but both CB and VVC/ RH/ AK turned it intoa comedy circus.....

Now i want to only see Raju Srivastav's take on it!😉
