This is what he earlier told her after giving her flowers at the wedding. She said no to him then cos she expected him to propose to her. She also told him there would be just one relationship between a guy and girl and friendship doesn't have a meaning in the society she lives in.

Abhi, just let her be and enjoy life is all i can say. That girl does not know her priorities right now
