Update time!! (Finally) srry everyone for the really big delay. i know, i haven't updated for a really long time..was just lazy and or busy(shorry)
Sagar's POV
These police officers are crazy. They keep beating me up. Im in pain, but they dont care. It is as if they are blood thirsty. I can't take this anymore. I want to go to my Vidya. Who poisoned her mom's head with all this rubbish? And what is vidya doing? My poor vidya, stuck at the mercy of that crook. I know it can't be jay...so who is it? Who is mine and vidya's dushmaan. I need to get out of here to find out. But how should i escape? There is no way out. The only way i can get help if a phone call.....
"Pratap! You get a free phone call. But if you call that Vidya and harrass her, i will happily break all the bones in your body." Shouted police officer Shinde.
He unlocked my cell and let me out. I trudged along. Who should i call? Shalu and CHinu are god knows where, and i can't call vidya. Wait, but i can call di. I hope she picks up, otherwise my hopes are lost. Even worse, its Saturday, and the court will be closed tomorrow and Monday is a half day. Vidya will be getting married on Tuesday. That leaves me almost no time to gather evidence or anything. I reached out for the phone and dialed di's number.
Please pick up, please. But no such luck. The phone kept ringing. It was about to go to voicemail when someone finally picked up.
"Hello??'
"Di?"
"Sagar? what happened, why do you sound like that? "
"its a long story di, but can u come to Mumbai police station? Its urgent. "
"Sagar...what"
Her voice was cut off.I looked over at shinde and he smiled through his rotten teeth.
"Time up! hehehe"
I just glared at him, but knew that if i argued, all i would get were bruises and broken teeth and bones.
I was pushed back into my cell, but atleast it was quiet so i could think. Even if i did get out on bail, how would i stop Vidya's wedding? I would need proof, but i didn't have any....though i could bring witnesses like Tushar. Somehow my eyes caught and i fell asleep.
The next morning i woke up. I waited all day.......but still no di. There wasn't any point of her coming, really, because the court was closed. Shinde kicked me some more, and i fell unconscious. As i felt the rays of the sun shine brightly into my eyes, i realized that it was Monday. That meant di would come to release me. Sure enough, she arrived. After payain 1 lakh rupees, i managed to get out and drive to Vidya;s house. As i burst through the doors, i got a glimpse of vidya. She was standing beside a man whose face was covered, and someone was giving her blessings. May you two live forever. Then the man turned to me and pulled out his gun! Bam!! The last thing i saw was Vidya- her beautiful face laughing at me.
I jerked awoke. That was the worst nightmare a man could have. But, one thing about my dream came true. Nothing happened today. Di didn't come, and i was stuck here. However, i was able to think my plan through. Atleast Shinde and his kutte admi didn't come to beat me up like they did before. I hope di comes though.I mgetting scared now. What if she doesn't come? What if she forgets, or even worse, belives what that unknown boy said about me? What would i do then? She is the only person who can get me out of this nightmare. I can only hope that she gets here on time.
The night goes on, but i am restless. How can i sleep when my life is such a turmoil. But, eventually, my eyes start to get heavy with the lack of sleep. It seems as if only a few minutes later, the first rays of the sun hit my face. But my cell doesn't face east. Which must mean that it is already noon, or even worse, afternon/evening. This isn't good. I start pacing. Does this mean that di will not come? If she stuck in traffic? the court will clost in a few hrs. What if she doiesn't make it?
But i didn't have to wrry. Soon, Shinde opens my cell and whispers in my ear, his breath revolting and stale.
" you escape me this time shanae.....but next time, you finis(you escaped me this time(clever) but next time, you are finished)"
I grinned slightly at his attempt to speak English. I got a glimpe of di and rushed out to embrace her. She hugged me back and asked me to tell her what happened, and i did.
After i told her the story, she gasped. "But what are you going to do now? They left the city. i don't know where they went, and neither does Tushaar."
"What?????? I might have an idea though. Dont they have a farmhouse?"
"Yes, i think so. I dont know the location. wE can take Tushar with us. All i know is that its very far. "
"Di.........you can stay home with amar, he needs you."
"Are you sure?"
"Positve...now lets go!"
We rushed to di's house, where we breifed tushar in.
"I dont belive maa would do someting as idiotic as this!"
Di told us to hurry up and go because the traffic would be horrendous. I agreed and tushar and i rushed to the car. The drive was very long and quiet. I drifted into my own world. Tushar noticed and gave me a look of sympathy. Soon It was night again. I knew that tushar must be really tired, so i told him to stop. We could rest at a hotel. But he was determined not to let his sister marry a scroundel, so we didn't stop,except for getting gas and food. We continued, but there was a traffic jam. By then, it was already noon. Her wedding would be in less than an hour.
"Sagar, get out of the car and go. The farm is only a few minutes away."
I said okay and started running. I hope i make it in time.
I burst through the doors, and saw vidya being forced to put the mala on the so called groom
"Stop!! " i cried.
Vidya saw me and ran toward me, breaking free of her mothers grip. The Dulha stepped off the altar and said,"I belive no one invited you Sagar."
And with that, he lifted his hat up. I gasped.
"Rohit....tum!!!!!!" I can't believe Rohit would do something like this! My best friend?!? This really hurts badly. I never even imagined that he would stick a knife in my back like that.
He stepp near me and whispered in my ear
"Surprised Sagar? You didn't really expect that i was your friend did you? I mean, frankly, i always hated you. The only reason i stayed around is because girls are attracted to u.......and when theyre rejected, they rebound to me. But im sick of eing the rebound. As soon as i met Vidya, i fell in love with her beauty. But ofcourse, you got her, like you get everything. But i decided enough was enough. This time i will get what i want, and you can not even try to stop my Pratap! Got that? Beccause Vidya is mine! " he hissed.
'I can't believe you would do that...we were such good friends."
He just laughed in my face.
Suddenly, Vidya's Mom came and slapped me, hard, on my already bruised and raw skin.
"hOW dare you come to my daughter's wedding and ruin it? You deserve to be locked up! You scroundel, stop trying to ruin my daughter's life!!!!!"
"Mom! Its not Sagar ruining Vidya's life, its you! Are you blind or something? Can't you see how she ran to him, or how upset she is.? And how did you just belive what this boy was saying without listening to anyone else? Infact, Vidya and Sagar love each other very much, and are also engaged!!! Plus, ive known vidya and sagar are together for a long time. You've been out mom, and that gives you no right to decide that Sagar is wrong without even knowing him or how he treated Vidya. You can't just keep your eyes closed on every matter and blidly believe someone without any proof or even talk to the person to whom this concerns!!"
Vidya's mom stood there, stunned.
"How dare you talk to your mother like that?!"
"Because you're wrong! "
At that moment, Shalu and Chinu arrived, and after they were told what had happened, they repeated what tushar said. Vidya's mom looked ashamed, but furious at the same time. She called the police and had Rohit arrested.
The end..............for now. Srry, i know, it was kinda horrible.
